Va.), 1 p.m. (ET) against average and a .536 save percentage as she played Monday, March 4th in net for all of the Rangers’ 120 minutes thus far in the campaign… Against Colorado Mesa on Feb. 16, she made Fort Lewis at Chestnut Hill (Pa.), 4 p.m. (ET) six saves and claimed three groundballs in the 16-6 win… She then tallied Regis at [4] Rollins (Fla.), 4 p.m. (ET) nine saves and five groundballs in a 16-7 win over Fort Lewis on Saturday ^-Adams State vs. Lake Erie (Ohio), 5 p.m. (MT) (Feb. 23)… She also had a caused turnover in each game... That contest was cancelled due to snow... The Grizzlies, who are the only WILA team to have not played a game, will now try to open regular season with a WILA match-up against Fort Lewis at home this Saturday at 1 p.m... The Grizzlies are 0-4 all-time against the Skyhawks. Colorado Mesa Mavericks (0-2, 0-2 WILA) www.cmumavericks.com Top Offensive Player: Ashley Eickoff (#8, Fr., M, 5-10, Yorba Linda, Calif./El Dorado HS) After scoring one goal and assisting on another in the Mavericks’, season-opener against Regis (L, 6-16 on Feb. 16), Eickoff scored a career-high five goals in CMU’s home loss to Fort Lewis (13-14) on Friday afternoon at Walker Field… She scored three first half goals; her third goal coming with 23 seconds remaining in the first half to give CMU an 8-7 halftime edge... In the second half, Eickoff scored on back-to-back goals at 10:44 to pull CMU to within 13-12 and again just 1:16 later (9:28) to tie the game at 13... She had eight shots in that game, one ground ball, one draw control and three caused turnovers... Eickoff was 0-1 on free possession shot attempts against the Skyhawks. Top Defensive Player: Ashley Eickoff (#8, Fr., M, 5-10, Yorba Linda, Calif./El Dorado HS) Against Regis, Eickoff had two draw controls and a groundball… She then had a groundball, a draw control and three caused turnovers in Friday’s game against Fort Lewis. Team Notes: CMU dropped its second game of the year, falling late to Fort Lewis on Friday… The Skyhawks scored the winning goal with 1:58 remaining in regulation… CMU’s 13 goals is a season-high… CMU had seven different players score at least one goal… CMU is averaging 9.50 goals per game while allowing 15.00 goals per game… Eickoff (see above) leads the team with six goals, followed by Lexie Chavez 2013 WILA Women’s Lacrosse News & Notes (Cont.) Week 3• February 27 TEAM NOTES (CONT.)... with five goals… Paige Amme and Kelsey Krebs have a team-high two assists each… CMU will travel to Westminster College in Salt Lake City this Saturday for a non-conference, exhibition game, the Mavericks’ first road contest of the season. Fort Lewis Skyhawks (1-1, 1-1 WILA) www.goskyhawks.com Top Offensive Player: Jessica Norby (#17, Jr., F, 5-7, Chaska, Minn./Chaska HS) Norby, who is FLC’s career scoring leader with 138 total points (84 goals, 54 assists), noted her 16th career hat-trick by scoring four goals in the Skyhawks’ 14-13 win at Colorado Mesa on Friday... She then added two more goals in Saturday’s game against Regis (L, 7-16), played at Dick’s Spring Goods Park… She also had an assist against Colorado Mesa and finished the 2-game weekend with seven points, nine shots, eight of which were on goal, and a draw control… She was 3-for-3 on free position shots during the weekend.
