I sensed something notable was happening in Sri Caitanya’s sankirtana movement. I wasn’t alone in my feeling. • Glorious Narada Muni Hare Krishna. Please Accept My Humble
Glorious Narada Muni Date: 2002-07-08 Author: Kalacakra Krsna das Hare Krishna. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. What else we can get about Srila Narada Muni than that comes directly from the Lotus mouth of the Supreme Lord Sri Krsna ? The following (SB 10.10.25) is a verse spoken by the Lord Himself glorifying Srila Narada Muni, just after delivering the two sons of Kuvera who were cursed by the Deva-Rsi to stand as Arjuna trees. devarṣir me priyatamo yad imau dhanadātmajau tat tathā sādhayiṣyāmi yad gītaṁ tan mahātmanā Although these two young men are the sons of the very rich Kuvera and I have nothing to do with them, Devarsi Narada is My very dear and affectionate devotee, and therefore because he wanted Me to come face to face with them, I must do so for their deliverance. PURPORT Nalakuvara and Manigriva actually had nothing to do with devotional service or seeing the Supreme Personality of Godhead face to face, for this is not an ordinary opportunity. It is not that because one is very rich or learned or was born in an aristocratic family one will be able to see the Supreme Personality of Godhead face to face. This is impossible. But in this case, because Narada Muni desired that Nalakuvara and Manigriva see Vasudeva face to face, the Supreme Personality of Godhead wanted to fulfill the words of His very dear devotee Narada Muni. If one seeks the favor of a devotee instead of directly asking favors from the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one is very easily successful.

  • Guru Vandana - Part 1
Guru Vandana - Part 1 Date: 2015-07-31 Author: Kalacakra Krsna das Dear Prabhujis and Matajis, Hare Krishna. Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva. Today is the most auspicious day of Sri Guru Purnima, celebrated all over the world with different moods. For us, Srila Prabhupada gave us the real meaning of Guru Purnima in his beautiful explanation of the Vaishnava Bhajan 'Sri Guru Carana Padma' written by Srila Narottam Das Thakur. Today is also the day our foremost Acarya Sripad Sanatana Goswami took Samadhi. On the day of his disappearance, almost 500 years ago, all the vrajavasis in Vrindavan, Govardhan and surrounding villages shaved their head as a mark of respect as one would do when their own family member left his body. That is the greatness of Srila Sanatana Goswami. Srila Prabhupada's Explanation of Guru Vandana: So Sanatana Goswami is guru. Caitanya Mahaprabhu is authorizing him to become guru. This is parampara system. Nobody can become guru all of a sudden. Self-made guru, that is not guru. Here, Sanatana Goswami is presented as the disciple, ideal disciple. He is asking, ‘ke āmi’, ‘kene āmāya jāre tāpa-traya', process how to approach guru, how to ask him question. Tad viddhi praṇipātena paripraśnena sevayā [Bg. 4.34]. Paripraśna means question. That is also required. But Caitanya Mahaprabhu is authorizing him. Therefore He says, kṛṣṇa-śakti dhara tumi [Cc. Madhya 20.105]. Here Krishna, Caitanya Mahaprabhu, He is authorizing Sanatana Goswami. Unless he has got the power to receive the instruction, Caitanya Mahaprabhu is not going to waste His time.

Dear master, kindly enlighten us in transcendental knowledge, which may act as a torchlight by which we may cross the dark nescience of material existence. The great sage Maitreya continued: My dear Vidura, being thus petitioned by the Pracetas, the supreme devotee Narada, who is always absorbed in thoughts of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, began to reply. The great sage Narada said: When a living entity is born solely to engage in the devotional service of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is the supreme controller, his birth, all his fruitive activities, his life span, his mind and his words are all factually perfect. A civilized human being has three kinds of births. The first birth is by a pure father and mother, and this birth is called birth by semen. The next birth takes place when one is initiated by the spiritual master; this birth is called sāvitra. The third birth, called yājñika, takes place when one is given the opportunity to worship Lord Vishnu.
