Trump as President of the United States, Representative Jody B. Hice (R-GA) introducedthe Sanctity of Human Life Act (H R. 586), which, if enacted, would provide that the rights associatedwith legal personhood begin at fertilization. Then, in October 2017, the Department of Health and Human Services releasedits draft strategicplan, which identifies a core policy of protectingAmericans at every stage of life, beginning at conception. While often touted as a means to outlaw abortion, protecting the "lives" of single-celled zygotes may also have implicationsfor the practice of reproductive medicine and research Indeedt such personhoodefforts stand apart anddistinct from more incre- mental attempts to restrictabortion that target the abortionprocedure and those who would perform it.

    UNFPA Whitewash: Forced Abortion in China PRI Staff / November 1, 2001 Population Research Institute (PRI) has obtained a copy of a letter sent from the Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Thoraya Ahmed Obaid, to the US Secretary of State, Colin L. Powell. The letter, dated 19 November 2001, falsely claims that information presented by PRI to members of the US Congress regarding UNFPA-supported abuses in China is untrue.1 Visit to China PRI investigators this September visited a county in Southern China where UNFPA claims coercion does not exist. In Sihui county, Guangdong province, they obtained testimony from victims of a UNFPA-funded family planning program who had suffered forced abortion, forced sterilization and destruction of homes and property at the hands of local officials. They presented this evidence at an October 17 hearing of the House International Relations Committee, along with further evidence linking these abuses to the UNFPA. In their opinion, based on interviews with two dozen women, coercion in Sihui county is as bad today as it ever has been. The UNFPA sought to counter PRI’s on-the-ground investigation of UNFPA-funded family planning programs by carrying out its own in-house review. A delegation of UNFPA employees and associates was hastily organized and sent to China in October. The seven- and-a-half page “mission report” produced by that delegation describes visits with Chinese officials in Beijing, Guangzhou, Sihui county, and Hubei Province, all of whom — not surprisingly — denied

EMERGENCY MOTION FOR A TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER AND PRELIMINARY INJUNCTION Plaintiff Women’s Center of West Virginia, on behalf of itself, its staff, its physicians, and its patients, hereby respectfully moves this Court for a temporary restraining order (“TRO”) pursuant to Rule 65(b) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, to block enforcement of the Governor of West Virginia’s Executive Order 16-20 (the “Order”) as applied to prohibit Plaintiff from providing abortion care when, in the physician’s good-faith medical judgment and based on the panoply of relevant factors, delaying the abortion would prevent the patient from obtaining an abortion in West Virginia or would otherwise compromise the patient’s long-term health. In support of this Motion, Plaintiff concurrently submits a memorandum and declarations, which are hereby incorporated within this Motion by reference. Plaintiff also seeks a preliminary injunction pursuant to Rule 65(a) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, blocking enforcement of the Order as applied in the way described above, in order to protect current and future patients from imminent and irreparable harm to their health, safety, and constitutional right to decide whether and when to bear a child.     1. NAME OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT Mifegyne 200 mg tablets 2. QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION Each tablet contains 200-mg mifepristone. For the full list of excipients, see section 6.1 3. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM Tablet. Light yellow, cylindrical, bi-convex tablets, with a diameter of 11 mm with “167 B” engraved on one side. 4. CLINICAL PARTICULARS For termination of pregnancy, the anti-progesterone mifepristone and the prostaglandin analogue can only be prescribed and administered in accordance with New Zealand’s abortion laws and regulations. 4.1 Therapeutic indications 1- Medical termination of developing intra-uterine pregnancy. In sequential use with a prostaglandin analogue, up to 63 days of amenorrhea (see section 4.2). 2- Softening and dilatation of the cervix uteri prior to surgical termination of pregnancy during the first trimester. 3- Preparation for the action of prostaglandin analogues in the termination of pregnancy for medical reasons (beyond the first trimester). 4- Labour induction in fetal death in utero. In patients where prostaglandin or oxytocin cannot be used. 4.2 Dose and Method of Administration Dose 1- Medical termination of developing intra-uterine pregnancy The method of administration will be as follows: • Up to 49 days of amenorrhea: 1 Mifepristone is taken as a single 600 mg (i.e. 3 tablets of 200 mg each) oral dose, followed 36 to 48 hours later, by the administration of the prostaglandin analogue: misoprostol 400 µg orally or per vaginum. • Between 50-63 days of amenorrhea Mifepristone is taken as a single 600 mg (i.e. 3 tablets of 200 mg each) oral dose, followed 36 to 48 hours later, by the administration of misoprostol.

Prayers He said: Mr. Speaker, I hope soon that you will be able to call me by the new name of my riding, which is really the Northwest Territories. People ask me many times, where is the Western Arctic? ROUTINE PROCEEDINGS The Western Arctic is a name that came before division, when we had two ridings within the Northwest Territories. Both Yukon and Ï (1005) Nunavut are called by their proper names. We are proud of our [English] territory, as well, and would like to be well represented in the House of Commons in a fashion that is appropriate.
