Keith Turnour-Fetherstonhaugh is lord of the parish pleasantly situated at the foot of the hills, on the manor and chief landowner. The chief crops are Fetherstonhaugh, of Up Park, d. 1874: there are 650 sit wheat, barley and oats, but there is a good deal of pa~~· tings. The register commences in the year 1567. The area is 7,918 acres of land and living is a sinecure rectory and vicarage, net yearly value 28 of water; rateable value, £8,821; the population in £58o, with residence, the rectory being in the gift of 1901 was 1,238.
