DIFNIGER:FA / : Attacks Besoinsand population et Réponse movements Humanitaire in (période region du 15 au(as 30 aoûtof 2014)28 June, 2016) Since February 2015, more than 115 security incidents have been recorded, leading to the displacement of more than 241,000 people in . An upsurge of Boko Haram attacks has taken place since April 2016. In May and beginning of June, six Boko Haram attacks took place in the department of Bosso (including 2 against the IDP site and village of Yebi). On 3 June, hundreds of Boko Haram insurgents launched the deadliest attack against a military position in Bosso: 26 soldiers and 55 insurgents were killed and 112 wounded, according to the Niger Government. On 6 June, Boko Haram attacked Bosso for the second time, in three days. As a result, an additional 40,000 new displaced people fled to safer areas in the western part of Diffa region, leaving Bosso, Yebi and . The majority of the displaced people abandoned their livelihoods and are challenging increased vulnerability, together with their host communities. On June 16, the IDP site of Gagam was attacked, shortly after the passage of a high level mission and a distribution of food.
