And what a feast it was! We really need to congratulate Moira, Stefan and the team for consistently producing such a rich and tasty buffet, which always tempts us to eat much more than we should. A special touch was added to the celebration through the accomplished background music provided by Wilfried – well done! We were especially pleased to be able to welcome Sister Françoise Dorothy to our table, whom we hadn’t seen for a very long time. I am sure that every one of our ladies had a wonderful time and it was at least mid-afternoon when we finally managed to tear ourselves away and make our way home, satisfied and happy. At the end of August we were back at the Club to help two amazing ladies, namely Dori Hirschi and Alice Blaser, celebrate their 92nd birthday – what an achievement! Looking at the two of them, one can hardly believe that they can truly have reached this age – congratulations again to both of you! At the same time we could also wish Gret Fässler, who had only just returned from our home country, a “ITALIAN TRADITION” produced in South Africa belated Happy Birthday. Thank you www.gastrofoods.com so much, dear ladies, for the great sandwiches and the elaborate cake you brought for us, they were delicious and much enjoyed! RAFFLE PRIZES Spring is here and it won’t be long before it is time again for our annual Christmas Sale and big Raffle in Jonkershoek.
