• Clayton Thorson tied career highs with three touchdown passes and 18 completions. • Clayton Thorson’s 300-plus yard passing output was the first by a Northwestern since totaled 414 yards on November 30, 2013, at Illinois. • Solomon Vault picked up his first career receiving touchdown on a career-long 44-yard catch. He collected a season-high 48 yards through the air, five shy of his career best. In two career games against the Blue Devils, Vault has collected 187 all-purpose yards.

TEAM NOTES • Northwestern’s turnover in the second quarter broke their streak of five-straight quarters without turning the ball over. • Tonight was the third time since 2014 that the ‘Cats won a game in which they passed for more yardage than they rushed. • Northwestern defense held the Duke offense to 5-for-17 on third down (22.7 percent). • Northwestern beat Duke for the 10th time. The win was the third in a row over the Blue Devils.
