30 October 2015 MEDIA RELEASE 30 October 2015 Jupiters welcomes Wild Wogs to the Coast Jupiters Hotel & Casino brings the outrageously funny Wild Wogs to the Gold Coast on Friday March 11 for a night of non-stop cultural comedy that’s guaranteed to leave the audience in stitches. Starring the undeniably hilarious Gabriel Rossi, Acropolis Now’s George Kapiniaris, Logie nominated comedian Tahir, Fat Pizza’s Rob Shehadie, the show will offer hilarious insight into the daily antics of an Aussie Wog. Managing Director Queensland Geoff Hogg said the dynamic show promised to deliver comedy brilliance with a difference. “These much loved characters are sure to guarantee it’s a night of pure entertainment and non-stop laughs,” he said. Self-confessed “Mama's Boy” Gabriel Rossi is well on his way to becoming one of Australia’s largest comedic exports. Best known for his satirical song parodies, Gabriel’s ‘War on Political Correctness’ earned him a top place on the Australian comedy scene and also saw him join Italo-Australian Comic Sensation Joe Avati on numerous UK tours. Equally hilarious Greek golden boy George Kapiniaris has appeared in just about all of your favourite Australian television shows. From the popular ‘Underbelly’ series to ‘Kick’, ‘Joker Poker’ and the show that launched his comedic television career, ‘Acropolis Now’, George has been making Australian Wogs and Aussies laugh ever since his debut. Better known for his role as the hilarious Habib, Logie nominated and Australian Comedian of the Year Tahir is one of the nation’s busiest comics. He’s earned himself a place as a household name, forming an integral member of the hilarious teams in the hit movies ‘Housos vs Authority’ and ‘Fat Pizza’ which broke box office records around Australia. ‘Fat Pizza’ co-star Rob Shehadie first burst onto our screens as Rocky – a character he went on to play for 16 years. His performances right across Australia have proved extremely popular with audiences, with the show attracting more than 70,000 to Sydney’s Enmore Theatre. Established and experienced comic performer John Burgos, best recognised as The Annoying Devil on Balls of Steel Australia, has graced our airwaves through appearances on popular television and radio shows Utopia, Neighbours, Stand Up Australia and Nova’s Hughesy, Kate and Dave. As a former finalist for FHM Magazine’s Australia’s Funniest Man (or woman), John is sure to top off a night of rib-tickling laughter with his fast paced satirical observations and social commentary. The Aussie boys will be joined on stage by Miami comedian Ashley Fils-Aime. Tickets to the Wild Wogs comedy spectacular are now on sale for $49 and can be purchased through Ticketek at ticketek.com.au, on 132 849 or from the Jupiters Box Office. Jupiters has joined with Australian company ARPA Productions to bring Wild Wogs to the Gold Coast as part of a sell-out tour, with audience numbers of more than 10,000 flocking to see the show in New South Wales and Victoria.
