Bowie only managed two hits on the afternoon. The Baysox received strong work from Home Record 21-21 the bullpen in the loss, with Pedro Araujo and Tyler Erwin combining to pitch 4.0 scoreless innings of relief. Road Record 18-20 Versus Eastern Division 16-8 Baysox Starter: LHP Alex Wells will be making his 13th start of the year for the Baysox today. Wells, who was Versus Western Division 23-33 named an Eastern League All-Star last week, is making his second consecutive start against Hartford. Last week in Current Streak L1 Bowie, Wells pitched 7.0 innings, allowing two earned runs on three hits in a no-decision. After a giving up three Last Homestand 5-2 runs (two earned) in the first inning, Wells posted six consecutive zeroes to finish his outing. Wells also started Last Road Trip 5-1 against Hartford on June 2, and tossed a season-high 7.2 innings, allowing just one earned run and picking up a win. With his All-Star selection this year, Wells continued his streak of being named an All-Star in each of his Last 5 Games 4-1 professional seasons: 2016 in Aberdeen, 2017 in Delmarva, 2018 in Frederick and 2019 in Bowie. Portland scored one run in that sixth to take a 1-0 lead, but Bowie tied the game in the Road Record 13-19 top of the seventh on an RBI double from Preston Palmeiro.
