The Yard Goats Overall Record 34-40, 4-2 took the early lead, when Manuel Melendez led off the game with a home run. Hartford added another run in the Home Record 16-20 third inning on a wild pitch, making it 2-0. Bowie fought back to tie the game in the fourth inning on a solo home Road Record 18-20 run from Carlos Perez and an RBI double from Willy Yahn. Hartford scored the game deciding run in the seventh Versus Eastern Division 14-8 inning on an RBI single, making it 3-2. The Yard Goats bullpen was able to keep the Baysox off the board from that Versus Western Division 20-32 point on. Current Streak L2 Current Homestand 0-1 Baysox Starter: LHP Zac Lowther will be making his 14th start of the year for the Baysox today. Lowther, who was Last Road Trip 5-1 named an Eastern League All-Star on Monday, enters tonight with a 1.95 ERA, good for fourth in the league. In his last start in Hartford, Lowther earned the win and helped complete a series sweep, tossing 5.0 innings and allowing Last 5 Games 3-2 just one run on two hits. Lowther has now won three consecutive starts. For the season, Lowther has not allowed Last 10 Games 7-3 an earned run in six of his starts and has allowed three hits or less seven times. When Scoring 4+ Runs 24-10 When Scoring 3- Runs 10-30 In the Other Corner: LHP Matt Whitehouse is making his first appearance as a member of the Rockies After Day Off 5-7 organization today. The 28-year-old was released by the Indians on June 17, and signed to a minor league contract In Shutouts 6-10 by Colorado five days later. Whitehouse is an Eastern League veteran, as this was his third season spending time In 1-Run Games 7-10 with AA-Akron. With the RubberDucks in 2019, Whitehouse had only pitched out of the bullpen, and posted a 4.50 ERA in 22.0 innings. Whitehouse also made nine appearances with AAA-Columbus and was 1-1 with a 9.69 ERA in In 2-Run Games 8-7 13.0 innings of work. McCoy is currently the Eastern League leader in hitting with a .333 batting average. Bannon is the active team leader in RBIs with 27. Britton replaces 6/20 at Hartford W, 5-1 Gary Kendall, who was the head man in Bowie from 2011-2018. Britton picked up his first victory as a AA manager 6/24 vs. Hartford L, 3-2 on April 7 against the Harrisburg Senators. Last season, Britton managed the Delmarva Shorebirds, leading the 6/25 vs. Hartford club to a 68-66 record. Prior to getting into coaching, Britton played nine seasons in Minor League Baseball, and 6/26 vs. Hartford spent parts of 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 with the Baysox.
