Overall Record 12-26 Alex Wells started and pitched 7.0 scoreless innings. The game was scoreless until the tenth inning, when T.J. Home Record 5-11 Nichting hit a two-run home run, his first AA blast to give Bowie the lead. Akron rallied to score twice in the tenth Road Record 7-15 to tie the game, and then won it on a three-run home run in the 11th. Versus Eastern Division 0-0 Versus Western Division 12-26 Baysox Starter: LHP Bruce Zimmermann is on the mound making his seventh start of the year for the Baysox. Current Streak L1 Zimmermann is coming off his best outing of the season, tying a career-high with 11 strikeouts in 5.2 scoreless Last Homestand 2-0 innings against Richmond. This is the fourth time this year that Zimmermann has started against Erie. In three prior Last Road Trip 1-2 outings against the SeaWolves, Zimmermann has pitched 15.1 innings and allowed seven earned runs. On April 23, the left-hander pitched six scoreless innings in Erie. Zimmermann has gone at least 5.0 innings in five of his six Last 5 Games 3-2 starts this year, and has allowed two earned runs or less in those same five starts. Lowther tossed a Behind After 7 Innings 1-19 career-high 7.2 scoreless innings on Tuesday, while Wells went 7.0 scoreless in the series finale. Britton replaces Gary No Errors Committed 7-7 Kendall, who was the head man in Bowie from 2011-2018. Britton picked up his first victory as a AA manager on April 7 against the Harrisburg Senators. Last season, Britton managed the Delmarva Shorebirds, leading the club Baysox vs. Erie to a 68-66 record. Prior to getting into coaching, Britton played nine seasons in Minor League Baseball, and spent parts of 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 with the Baysox.
