2/18 Takapuna AFC Welcomes Ngongotaha AFC Lotto NRFL Div 2 7 April 2018 Club History Sponsors Welcome/President’s Report Welcome to our second home game of the 2018 league season – and what a blockbuster fixture we have. We extend a very warm welcome to Ngongotaha FC, their fans, players and officials and look forward to a great atmosphere and an exciting game. It has been an eventful off season for the club but I am delighted that we have started the season in very good shape which should augur well for another season of progress. I believe we have an ideal combination of a strong team-based culture, together with an infusion of new ideas and broader experiences which will serve us well over the course of the season. So, we turn to the new season. The good news is that we have had a largely positive transfer window and have secured most of Joe Daw prime targets, and go into the season with the strongest squad in the past three years. This reflects great credit on Joe with his professionalism and the speed with which he has built a new team. We have continued to invest in the playing squad and go into the season with the strongest squad in my tenure, both in terms of depth and in terms of quality. We have built on our core policy of investing in and trusting youth by bringing in experience at higher levels in key positions. The additions of Matt Chant, Nick Smith, Jono Lewis, Tommy Miller and Jack Taylor all experienced Premier players, together with the arrival late last week of Mitch Miller, will mean there is healthy competition in virtually every position.

  • Community Resilience Fund – Phase Two
BACKGROUND INFORMATION Community Resilience Fund – Phase Two Provided to the Minister’s office on 9 October 2020 Purpose 1. The purpose of this briefing is to provide you with the final amounts awarded through the Community Resilience Fund – Phase Two (CRF 2). This background document will be proactively released on Sport NZ’s website on Wednesday 14 October 2020 Community Resilience Fund – Phase Two Overview 2. CRF was initially a $10M fund, distributed by Regional Sports Trusts (RSTs) to regional and local organisations. Due to the demand for the fund in the initial three weeks, further funding was approved and the total fund was increased to $15M. 3. RSTs have approved 2,070 applications and have allocated just over $14.954 million for regional and local organisations to cover fixed and operational costs for the period 1 July 2020 to 30 September 2020. 4. Applications for the fund closed on Friday 4 September 2020. However, Aktive received a two week extension to close on Friday 18 September 2020 as a result of Auckland being placed into Alert Level 3. We anticipated that this would result in worsening financial situations for organisations in the regions due to further reductions in revenue, and an increase in the number of organisations that were eligible to apply for support. Outlined in the tables below are details of the recipients and amounts awarded through the CRF 2. Note: Funds paid to applicants were inclusive of Government Services Tax where applicable. 5/16 Takapuna AFC Welcomes Onehunga Mangere United Lotto NRFL Div 2 21 May 2016 Club History Sponsors Welcome/President’s Report On behalf of the Takapuna Committee welcome to Taharoto Park for round 9 of the NRFL division 2,2016 season. I would like to extend a warm welcome to Nick Russo, his management team, players and supporters from Onehunga Mangere AFC. The first team were unlucky last Saturday night in their first game of the Chatham Cup, as they came up against a physically strong Ellerslie team. There were enough opportunities for either team to lead going into the half time break if it wasn’t for some impressive defending and excellent goalkeeping. First half ended in a deadlock o-o. As the second half got underway Ellerslie changed their style of play missing out playing through their mid field altering to a direct long ball (route one) to their big centre forward who held the ball up in the Taka third while the Ellerslie team pressed quickly to support him. Two deadly strikes inside the Taka six yard box gave Ellerslie a successful two goal lead. Been two nil down, Taka stuck to the game plan creating a wave of attacks into the Ellerslie goal box. Ellerslie were lucky as two balls were cleared off the line with another chance brilliantly saved by the Ellerslie goal keeper. In the 82nd minute Wesley Baldwin struck with a thunder bolt from outside the Ellerslie goal box into the bottom right hand corner. Game on for the next eight minutes as Taka gave everything they had left, still creating chances to pull level to the final whistle.
