Join the Global Day of Giving on December 3, 2019 and help us support Project SAFE, a program that helps students facing challenges of food insecurity, unreliable transportation and homelessness. Disney television animator Kris Wimberly ’08 shares his journey to success

Cal State Fullerton’s Pencil Mileage Club gave students the chance to hear from a professional storyboarder and CSUF alumni, Kris Wimberly ’08, about his work and experience last month. Wimberly currently works for Disney Television Animation, but has worked for multiple other animation companies such as Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Frederator Studios.

Laguna Gallery Artists, Douglass Crosss and Kara Elizabeth Pewthers ’04, transformed surfboards into Airshow works of art. Douglas and Kara, upcycled and transformed used surfboards into one-of-a-kind "Surfboard/Airshow" art pieces for the awards presentation at this year's Great Pacific Airshow in Huntington Beach, CA.

Based on his success, continued growth, and profitability, Little Caesars corporate recently awarded Feghali the 2019 Operational Excellence Award for a 10+ restaurant domestic operator.

Chris Salomone ’06

Chris Salomone ’06 (B.A., business administration - business economics) is combining his passion and talent for art with his business degree from Cal State Fullerton. Salomone is finding success with Foureyes Furniture, his YouTube-based woodworking business. Last year he quit his full-time job to focus squarely on his YouTube channel, and today, creating videos about how to make high-end furniture has become a bigger part of his business than making and selling the creations themselves.

Amy Vu

In recognition of her superior academic performance, personal accomplishments and community service, Cal State Fullerton student Amy Vu, senior in business administration-accounting and information systems and decision sciences, is among the 23 recipients of the 2019 CSU Trustees’ Award for Outstanding Achievement. The distinction is the highest annual honor for student achievement awarded by the CSU.
