It emerges from every corner of our campus – the boardroom and chapel, classrooms and offices, stages and fields of play, in competition and on retreat. Leadership at CHS is discovered and Fr. David S. Ciancimino, S.J. rooted in service. Clearly, not every graduate becomes a pope or president, a voice on the world stage. The stories of students at CHS today have yet to be told. Still, leadership is readily evident in the lives of our students. Here are some highlights from our senior class: FALL 2015 Elliott Jerge, a top-flight photographer, generously and faithfully attends countless school events to capture moments that celebrate and tell the story of the gifts that surround us each day. Student Senate President C.J. Wild inspires freshmen and benefactors as he speaks about the importance and gift of his Jesuit education. Volleyball and basketball player Charles Hart volunteered a week of service this summer at Journey’s End, a place of welcome for refugees. Michael Tenney, swimmer and participant in our companions immersion program at Navajo Nation, Arizona, leads Emmaus retreats for underclassmen. Tyler Will, named a National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalist, runs cross country, serves on the Student Senate, is a member of the Mock Trial and Model U.N. teams, and is a leader for the freshman retreat. Principal #JESuiTEDuCATED In conjunction with Pope Francis’ first visit to the United States, the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities launched FALL 2015 the “Jesuit Educated” campaign, highlighting the fact that Jesuit school graduates go on to lead countries, corporations, and even the Catholic Church.
