General Manager’s Report President’s Luncheons Seven President’s Luncheons were held in 2014 prior to each The 2014 VFL season has certainly been another rewarding home game. Attendees to our luncheons this year were well supported, with three of the seven luncheon having over 100 year, both on and off the field. Season Highlights

The Box Hill Hawk’s 2013 V.F.L. Premiership Flag was unfurled on 5th April 2014 by Box Hill Hawks President, Mr. Tony Pinwill (left), and Hawthorn Football Club President, Mr. Andrew Newbold (right).

First year Senior Coach resumed his long association with the Box Hill Hawks Football Club in 2014 and guided the Senior Team into the 2014 V.F.L. Grand Final This is the first time in the Club’s history that it has qualified for consecutive Senior V.F.A. / V.F.L. Grand Finals.

Named Box Hill Hawks Captain in 2014, the remarkably consistent and durable David Mirra finished runner-up in the Club Champion Trophy for the third time in the past four seasons. His excellent form saw him selected in the V.F.L. Representative Team against the S.A.N.F.L. and named in the V.F.L. Team of the Year for the second time.

Season Highlights

In 2014 and in just his third season with the Box Hill Hawks, Sam Iles became the eighth player to win the Box Hill Football Club’s Club Champion Trophy on more than one occasion.

In the background is part of the large crowd of 23,816; the largest attendance at a V.F.L. Grand Final in three decades and believed to be the largest crowd to ever attend a game in which Box Hill has played.

Tom Miles has been a most consistent performed for the Box Hill Hawks Development team over the past three years and his excellent form in 2014 saw him as a worthy winner of the Club’s Best and Fairest Trophy at this level.

The 1984 Box Hill Premiership team celebrated the 30th anniversary of their great triumph on 27th July 2014.
