This rubric shows the contribution of this None course to the MDiv outcomes. *As the MDiv is the core degree at RTS, the MDiv rubric will be used in this syllabus. BODLEIAN LIBRARIES STRATEGY 2018–2022 Sharing knowledge, inspiring scholarship Advancing learning, research and innovation from the heart of the University of Oxford through curating, collecting and unlocking the world’s information. MESSAGE FROM BODLEY’S LIBRARIAN The Bodleian is currently in its fifth century of serving the University of Oxford and the wider world of scholarship. In 2017 we launched a new strategy; this has been revised in 2018 to be in line with the University’s new strategic plan (www.ox.ac.uk/about/organisation/strategic-plan). This new strategy has been formulated to enable the Bodleian Libraries to achieve three key aims for its work during the period 2018-2022, to: 1. help ensure that the University of Oxford remains at the forefront of academic teaching and research worldwide; 2. contribute leadership to the broader development of the world of information and libraries for society; and 3. provide a sustainable operation of the Libraries. The Bodleian exists to serve the academic community in Oxford and beyond, and it strives to ensure that its collections and services remain of central importance to the current state of scholarship across all of the academic disciplines pursued in the University. It works increasingly collaboratively with other parts of the University: with college libraries and archives, and with our colleagues in GLAM, the University’s Gardens, Libraries and Museums. A key element of the Bodleian’s contribution to Oxford, furthermore, is its broader role as one of the world’s leading libraries. STAFF REPORT TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL FROM: MARTIN D. KOCZANOWICZ, CITY ATTORNEY SUBJECT: CONSIDERATION OF POLICY FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF "MAYOR EMERITUS" TITLE BACKGROUND At the July 6 and August 17. 2009 Council meetings, the possibility of establishing a Mayor Emeritus title was agendized for discussion. Shortly before the August meeting Council received a request from a proponent of the potential policy, withdrawing his request for consideration. Council tabled the item. Recently Council has again asked to have the matter agendized for further discussion. Attached to this staff report are the prior staff reports and research materials obtained by staff at that time. (Attachment 1) By agendizing the item for this meeting, the Council may discuss the proposed policy and, depending on the outcome of such discussion, provide additional direction to staff. DISCUSSION As a summary of prior research the title of "Emeritus" is generally associated with the field of academia. According to a dictionary definition, it is an adjective that is used in the title of a retired professor, bishop or other professional. The term is used when a person of importance in a given profession retires, so that his/her former rank can still be used in his/her title. This is particularly useful when establishing the authority of a person who might comment, lecture or write on a particular subject. The word originated in the mid-18th century from Latin as the past participle of emereri, meaning to "earn ones discharge by service". It is customarily bestowed by educational institutions on retiring/retired faculty members or administrators in recognition of their long-term service. -

The 1909 Facsimile Edition of Codex Boernerianus
A Brief Introduction to This Digital Reproduction of Codex Boernerianus presented by: Mr. Gary S. Dykes 2007 [note: the images in this PDF file are compressed via the PDF process, and display not the original CD quality] image 090 - coded For years I desired a GOOD copy of codex 012. All I possessed was a microfiche copy, and reading many of the Latin portions in that microfiche was frustrating. 35mm film copies of the manuscript leave much to be desired, as they were poor reproductions of the facsimile edition. For years I tried to acquire a better copy. Whenever I saw a copy of the 1909 facsimile edition offered for sale, I attempted to purchase it (them) but was always too late (the sales occurred in Europe). Finally, in 2007, I found an excellent copy of the 1909 edition. One which was in pristine condition; no marks, no tears, no missing pages, cover original and fully intact! Not only this, but the printing was of excellent quality. Truly a copy worthy of preservation for all students, for now and future generations. Though I created this digital copy for my own personal use and work on I Corinthians, I realized that others could certainly use a copy. This particular facsimile edition had lain in a library (a very non- Christian institution); since 1910, the volume was checked out only once. It lay unused. Thus it remained in fine condition. Today it is now being shared with all, via the coöperation of the CSNTM website! As concerns the published volume: it was a very fine production, the color reproduction reflects some of the best I have ever seen for a facsimile edition. -
