STANDING COMMITTEE At the time of preparing this report the Standing Committee had met three times since the last Diocesan Conference, these being December 2014, March 2015 and June 2015. In considering the 2015 Conference it was agreed that a slightly different format from the 2014 Conference be adopted with presentations on the theme of Social Responsibility with some group discussion work, and that the Conference be held at the University of Wales Trinity St Davids, Lampeter Campus on Saturday 3 rd October 2015. Following the adoption of the Revised Diocesan Conference Constitution in 2014, the membership of Standing Committee has been reduced, with representation being determined by Archdeaconry. The new Standing Committee consists of 21 people. The various Sub-Committees have been abolished and their work absorbed into the role of the Standing Committee. The Standing Committee now meets 4 times a year, March, June, September and December. The Standing Committee continues to receive all Conference reports at the June meeting; members are given the opportunity to question the appropriate officer/chairman/secretary and to make amendments and additions to reports. In addition to this all Diocesan Committees are asked to report annually to one of the meetings of Standing Committee and to brief members as to what is currently happening and future developments and plans. In accordance with powers devolved to it, the Standing Committee agreed to co-operate with the Bishop in the following re-groupings and pastoral changes: "That the Parishes of Meline and Moylegrove be de-grouped from the Grouped Benefice of Newport w Cilgwyn & Dinas w Llanllawer & Moylegrove & Meline and be grouped with the Grouped Benefice of St Dogmaels & Monington & Nevern and Y Beifl. The groupings to be known as: The Grouped Benefice of Newport w Cilgwyn & Dinas w Llanllawer and the Grouped Benefice of St Dogmaels & Monington & Nevern and Y Beifl & Meline & Moylegrove. That the Grouped Benefice of Newport w Cilgwyn & Dinas w Llanllawer be moved from the Archdeaconry of Cardigan to the Archdeaconry of St Davids and that it also move from the Deanery of Cemaes and Sub-Aeron to the Deanery of Dewisland and Fishguard." Subject to local PCC resolutions it is proposed that the Parish of Nevern take responsibility for the Churchyard of St Dogmael's, Meline upon closure and redundancy and that the pastoral area formerly covered by the parish of Meline become part of the parish of Nevern. Subject to local PCC resolutions it is proposed that the Parish of St Dogmaels take responsibility for the Churchyard of Ss. Mynno, David and Andrew, Moylegrove upon redundancy and that the pastoral area formerly covered by the parish of Moylegrove become part of the parish of St Dogmaels. That the parish of Llanfihangel Rhos-y-Corn be merged into the parish of Brechfa. The church of St Michael's Rhos-y-Corn to become the daughter church of the church of St Teilo's, Brechfa. The new designation to be the parish of Brechfa w Llanfihangel Rhos-y-Corn That the pastoral area covered by the historic parish of Llanfallteg w Castell Dwyrain be incorporated into the Grouped Benefice of Whitland (Eglwys Fair Glyn-taf) w Cyffig & Henllan Amgoed & Llan-gan w Llandysilio & Clunderwen. The designation of the new Grouping to continue to be Grouped Benefice of Whitland (Eglwys Fair Glyn-taf) w Cyffig & Henllan Amgoed & Llan-gan w Llandysilio & Clunderwen. That the parish of Herbrandston leave the Grouped Parish of Dale & St Brides w Marloes & Herbrandston & Hasguard w St Ishmael's w Robeston West to join the Parish of Hubberston to form a new Grouped Parish to be known as the Parish of Hubberston & Herbrandston That the parish of Robeston West leave the Grouped Parish of Dale & St Brides w Marloes & Herbrandston & Hasguard w St Ishmael's w Robeston West to join the Parish of Walwyn's Castle to form a new Grouped Parish to be known as the parish of Walwyn's Castle & Robeston West. That the Grouped Parish of Dale & St Brides w Marloes & Herbrandston & Hasguard w St Ishmael's w Robeston West now be known as the Grouped Parish of Dale & St Brides & Marloes & Hasguard w St Ishmael's That the United Parish of Lampeter be dis-united and the historic parishes of Lampeter, Silian, Llangybi and Betws Bledrws be reconstituted to form a new Grouped Parish to be known as the Grouped Parish of Lampeter w Maestir & Silian & Llangybi & Betws Bledrws. That the Parish of Gorslas be divided and that the pastoral area covered by the daughter church of St Anne's, Crosshands be made into a parish in its own right. The parish to be known as the Parish of Crosshands. That the Parishes of Gorslas, Crosshands, Llanedi and Tycroes with Saron form a new Grouped Parish to be known as the Grouped Parish of Gorlas & Crosshands & Llanedi & Tycroes w Saron That the parish of Mynachlogddu to be de-grouped from the Grouped Benefice of Maenclochog and Llandeilo w Henry's Moat w Mynachlogddu w Llangolman w New Moat w Llys-y-fran. The new title of the Benefice to be the Grouped Benefice of Maenclochog and Llandeilo w Henry's Moat w Llangolman w New Moat w Llys-y-fran. The parish of Mynachlogddu to be grouped with the Crymych Group of Churches. The new benefice to remain the Crymych Group of Churches. That the parish of Llanboidy be de-grouped from the Grouped Benefice of Meidrim & Llanboidy & Merthyr and join the Grouped Benefice of St Clears w Llangynin & Llanddowror & Llanfihangel Abercywyn. The new designations to be The Grouped Benefice of St Clears w Llangynin, & Llanddowror & Llanfihangel Abercywyn & Llanboidy and The Grouped Benefice of Meidrim & Merthyr. In addition the Standing Committee has ratified the requests of parishes and benefices to become Local Ministry Areas. That Standing Committee endorses the request of the relevant PCCs that the Parishes of Begelly, Ludchurch, East Williamston, Carew, Cosheston, Nash and Redberth become a Local Ministry Area, to be known as the Kilgetty (Enfys) Local Ministry Area That the Rectorial Benefice of Tenby and the parishes of Manorbier and St Florence form a Local Ministry Area to be known as the Caldey Local Ministry Area That the parishes of Catheiniog and Brechfa w Llanfihangel Rhos-y-Corn and Llanegwad w Llanfihangel-uwch-Gwili form a Local Ministry Area, to be known as the Tywi Cothi Local Ministry Area That The Parish of Llangynnwr w Cwmffrwd and the Grouped Parish of Llanddarog & Llanarthne form a Local Ministry Area, to be known as the Llannau Tywi Local Ministry Area That the United parish of Parish of Haverfordwest and the Grouped Parish of Prendergast & Rudbaxton and the parish of Camrose form a Local Ministry Area to be known as the Haverfordwest Local Ministry Area That the Grouped Benefices of St Issell's & Amroth w Crunwere & Marros and Laugharne w Llansadwrnen & Pendine & Llanmiloe form a Local Ministry Area, future designation to be decided. RECOMMENDATIONS 1 Plenary Powers That Conference delegate plenary powers to the Standing Committee for a further twelve months. 2 Approval of the Report That the report of the Standing Committee be accepted Revd Canon Paul Mackness Clerical Secretary .
