Script 34 Malaysian Student Society at the University of Iowa !3 Introduction Who are we Malaysian Student Society of the University of Iowa, which also known as MSSUI is a student organization at the University of Iowa that serves to assist and bring together Malaysian students in the university while promoting the Malaysian culture to the Iowa City community. Our purposes The purpose of this event was to raise cultural awareness as well as to share the Malaysian culture with the community of the university and around Iowa City. Our aim Our aim is to foster the relationship among the Malaysians in the University of Iowa, and also to develop the leadership and interpersonal skills within ourselves. Our strategy We decided to present something different than the Malaysian Night we did last year. Therefore, the executive boards came up with an idea to showcase our members’ talents through a staged play, in which we have never done before. The staged play was called as ‘Kampung Boy.’ Malaysian Student Society at the University of Iowa !4 Event Overview ‘Kampung Boy’ was a staged play that depicted about a Malaysian student who went back to his hometown with an American friend during the summer break. -

STREAT The signature event of the Singapore Food Festival, STREAT will feature yet another exciting collaboration Free Entry between local culinary talents. Clifford Square Prices of dish or food item vary 80 Collyer Quay Peranakan chef Malcolm Lee of Michelin-starred restaurant Candlenut will team up with chef Willin Low S(049326) – widely recognised as the founder of Mod-Sin cuisine – of Wild Rocket to helm a pop-up restaurant. The Price of pop-up restaurant menu S$50 two chefs will present contemporary interpretations of local classics, through a 3-course mod-sin and nett 14 – 15 July 2017: modern Peranakan Tok Panjang menu, where diners can get to sample a variety of three appetizers and 5pm – 10.30pm three mains served communal style, with the meal capped off with individual desserts for everyone. In addition, the pair will also work together to curate a selection of nine stalls, each helmed by a line-up of young hawkerpreneurs and chefs, each of which will present a unique spin on quintessentially local dishes. Some of the participating vendors include New Ubin Seafood, Peranakan Khek, Whampoa Prawn Noodle, collaborations between Taste Affair and The Masses, as well as between Keng Eng Kee and Good Chance Popiah. Clean, hygienic, and simple presentations are the strenglhs of th€: menus compared to those offered by other existing tood kiosks. Centraiized production proce!;c; can monitor the product quality and enable such a small-scaled busiress to reach the economic scale. Kantor Bahasa Nusa Tenggara Barat telah menerbitkan kamus tiga bahasa mayoritas di Nusa Tenggara Barat yaitu Sasak, Samawa, dan Mbojo. Pada tahun ini, kami menyusun Kamus Dwibahasa Bahasa Pendatang, yaitu bahasa Bugis-bahasa Indonesia. Kamus ini merupakan kamus pertama untuk bahasa pendatang yang dilakukan oleh Kantor Bahasa Nusa Tenggara Barat. Kosakata atau lema dalam bahasa Bugis yang terdapat pada kamus ini merujuk pada bahasa Bugis yang ada di Nusa Tenggara Barat. Untuk edisi pertama data yang diperoleh masih terbatas pada bahasa Bugis yang ada di Pulau Sumbawa. Jika dibandingkan dengan bahasa Bugis yang terdapat di daerah asalnya (Sulawesi) mungkin ada sedikit perbedaan. Hal tersebut wajar karena bahasa Bugis yang ada di Pulau Sumbawa hidup berdampingan dengan bahasa daerah aslinya, yaitu bahasa Samawa. Dengan demikian, ada kemungkinan beberapa kosakata bahasa Bugis yang mendapat pengaruh dari bahasa Samawa sehingga membentuk kosakata baru.
