Emotional first-hand accounts and startling, on-the-ground footage weave a revelatory picture of cover-ups and misinformation while also highlighting the strength and resilience of the healthcare workers, activists and family members who risked everything to communicate the truth. Ms. Robinson's claims include sex discrimination, sexual stereotyping, hostile work environment and retaliation arising under the NYHRL, NYLL and the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, as well as claims implicating numerous wage‐hour violations arising under NYLL and the FLSA effecting Ms. -

Reasons for the Change The Company sets an upper age limit per position for corporate officers based on its internal rules. In accordance with this basic principle, Yoichi Shimatani will retire from the position of Executive Vice President as of December 31, 2020, and as a result, he will also retire as Representative Director on the same date. Yukari Suzuki, who will newly assume the office of Representative Director as from January 1, 2021, has built a long career at the Company and possesses a vast experience mainly in fields of marketing and brand development. She has also led the global growth of Clé de Peau Beauté, one of the Company’s representative brands. Given her remarkable achievements in nurturing prestige brands, key contributors to corporate performance, Ms. Suzuki is expected to successfully drive the growth of the business while assisting the management overall. Furthermore, the Company recognizes the need to promote diversity among its management, and thus has decided to appoint Ms. Suzuki to the new position. As a result, the Company will maintain two representative directors. -

I certify that all material in this thesis which is not my own work has been identified and that no material has previously been submitted and approved for the award of a degree by this or any other University. ........................................ 2 Abstract The thesis offers a revised institutional history of US cable network Home Box Office that expands on its under-examined identity as a monthly subscriber service from 1972 to 1994. This is used to better explain extensive discussions of HBO‟s rebranding from 1995 to 2007 around high-quality original content and experimentation with new media platforms. The first half of the thesis particularly expands on HBO‟s origins and early identity as part of publisher Time Inc. from 1972 to 1988, before examining how this affected the network‟s programming strategies as part of global conglomerate Time Warner from 1989 to 1994. Within this, evidence of ongoing processes for aggregating subscribers, or packaging multiple entertainment attractions around stable production cycles, are identified as defining HBO‟s promotion of general monthly value over rivals. Arguing that these specific exhibition and production strategies are glossed over in existing HBO scholarship as a result of an over-valuing of post-1995 examples of „quality‟ television, their ongoing importance to the network‟s contemporary management of its brand across media platforms is mapped over distinctions from rivals to 2007. -

However, in examining HBO’s forty-year history, one notices an extensive list of socially conscious, politically engaged, and even outright public service programs. Over the years, HBO has brought a great deal of thoughtful (and sometimes controversial) cultural programming into American households. This group of films explores topics such as poverty, AIDS, women’s rights, and global injustice, often fiercely critiquing systems of inequality and oppression. Sometimes these programs even provide potential solutions and avenues of hope for some of today’s most important social problems.
