The only areal where this process can be studied further more is the Râmnicu Vâlcea basin. Besides some discoveries with pottery grooved, similar with the Vârtop type, apparently isolated, to the beginning period of the First Iron Age was attributed a series of sites identified in the the piedmont hills and of the sub- Carpathian area, from which is distinguished the urn cremation necropolis from Râureni I. We might talk about the existence of some different elements that characterize the discoveries from the Danube’s meadow, as comparing with those from the south-Carpathian regions. The Early Hallstatt from Oltenia has a first stage characterized by the grooved ceramics; it might be dated, in the absolute chronology, roughly, in the 12th–11th centuries B.C., respectively Ha. A. Keywords: The Early Hallstatt, pottery grooved, Oltenia, the sub-Carpathian area. The attempt to analyze the discoveries that belong to the Late Bronze and to the Early Hallstatt from Oltenia, start, predictably, from the data offered by the actual stage of the researches. The difficulties in defining and studying, as precise as possible, the interval of time considered, most of the time as a “passing period” from one historical period to another, come both from the study of the existent documentation and, especially, from the modalities and criteria of interpreting these documentations. The chronology of the Early Hallstatt from Oltenia has a first stage characterized by the grooved ceramics; it might be dated, in the absolute ∗ The article is part of a research project Dezvoltarea economico-socială a comunităţilor preistorice din Oltenia, included in the research programme of “C.S. On constate que le socio-culturel laisse ses empreintes d’une façon déterminante sur la terminologie francophone. Mots-clés: francophonie, francophilophonie, imaginaire linguistique, discours francophone, terminologie francophone. SOCIO-CULTURAL PERSPECTIVES UPON THE FRANCOPHONE TERMINOLOGY The article focusses upon the problem of linguistic dynamic, with a special case: the word francophonie and its semantic and morphological evolution. We conclude that the socio-cultural aspects are determinant upon the franco- phone terminology. Keywords: francophonie, francophilophonie, linguistic imaginary, francophone discourse, francophone terminology.

ROMANIA 103 Forecast Report / Autumn 2017 ROMANIA: Economic deceleration to follow the current boom GÁBOR HUNYA Economic growth in Romania is expected to climb to 5.7% in 2017 and to subside to 4.5% in the following two years. Household demand has boomed and investments have stagnated this year. The most recent measures aim to keep the fiscal deficit below 3% of GDP. Inflation has returned to positive figures and is bound to accelerate, putting the National Bank under pressure to hike the prime rate. Forecasts by wiiw. Economic growth accelerated to 5.9% in the first half of 2017 and a similar rate is expected for the year as a whole. Pro-cyclical fiscal measures have stimulated a boom in household consumption, while investments have been essentially stagnant. A deterioration of the external balance occurred in the wake of surging imports of consumer goods and despite rapidly rising exports. In the real sector both industry and agriculture registered high rates of output growth, while construction contracted. Infrastructure investments suffered delays waiting for the resumption of projects co-financed from EU funds.

These include newspapers, chronicles, and notes in liturgical books. The article offers an overview of weather variability in 1812–1818, like changes in temperature, precipitation, and storms, which led to higher food prices, and to a food and livestock feed crisis. The period under examination begins in the summer of 1812, when very low winter temperatures and a cool summer were recorded in these provinces. It includes the summer of 1815, when Europe witnessed the first effects of Tambora’s eruption. It ends in 1818 when the administrative measures introduced to combat the food crisis and famine were not needed any more. The natural events depicted and recorded in the above-mentioned sources were part of the worldwide weather extremes, which are presented here in their regional-European context. Keywords: Tambora’s eruption, historical climatology, Transylvania, chronicles, Orthodox liturgical books, rural population Ključne riječi: Erupcija vulkana Tambora, historijska klimatologija, Transilvanija (Sedmogradska), kronike, pravoslavne liturgijske knjige, ruralno stanovništvo INTRODUCTION This study focuses on the weather anomalies from 1813 to 1818 in the Habsburg provinces of Transylvania, the Banat and Partium, as reflected in contemporary documents.

ABSTRACT The idea of undertaking this research emerged in 1993, when was taking in study for doctoral thesis region between Jiu and Olt River. Starting this year, for over 20 years, I studied very thoroughly this area and concluded that it has a rich and diverse natural and anthropic tourism potential that is not exploited to its true value. Also scientific researches have shown that the area benefits of an environment with particular beauty and purity, of an ethnographic and folklore thesaurus of great originality and attractiveness represented by: specific architecture, traditional crafts, folk techniques, ancestral habits, religion, holidays, filled with historical and art monuments, archeological sites, museums etc.. All these natural and human tourism resources constitute a very favorable and stimulating factor in the implementation and sustained development of agritourism and rural tourism activities in the great and the unique land between Jiu and Olt River. INTRODUCTION Agritourism and rural tourism as economic and socio-cultural activities are part of protection rules for built and natural environment, namely tourism based on ecological principles, became parts of ecotourism, which as definition and content goes beyond protected areas (Grolleau H., 1988 and Annick Deshons, 2006).

  • Corpses, Dead Body Politics and Agency in Human Geography: Following the Corpse of Dr Petru Groza
Corpses, dead body politics and agency in human geography: following the corpse of Dr Petru Groza This paper follows the mobilities of the dead body of Dr Petru Groza (1884-1958), a significant political figure in post-World War II socialist Romania, to explore the implications for human geography of engaging with the dead. Although there has been a considerable interest in ‘geographies of the body’ and ‘deathscapes’ human geography has had relatively little to say about dead bodies. The paper draws on literatures from death studies, memory studies, history, anthropology, law and dead body politics to develop an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the role of the corpse in society, and argues that human geography should do more to consider how dead bodies contribute to the formation of contemporary geographies. To illustrate these points the analysis first explores how the treatment of Groza’s corpse and the ‘deathwork’ associated with it is an example of ‘dead body politics’. Second, the analysis draws out the agency of the corpse and its role in a variety of ‘deathscapes’. The conclusion considers the implications for human geography of engaging with dead bodies more generally. key words corpses dead body politics mobility agency Death Studies Romania 1 Corpses, dead body politics and agency in human geography: following the corpse of Dr Petru Groza Introduction This paper follows the mobilities of the corpse of Dr. Petru Groza (1884-1958) to explore the implications for human geography of engaging with the dead.
