A Study on Growth of Gramin Bank of Aryavrat ZENITH International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research ____________ISSN 2231-5780 Vol.9 (9), September (2019), pp. 22-34 Online available at zenithresearch.org.in A STUDY ON GROWTH OF GRAMIN BANK OF ARYAVRAT RITU VISHWAKARMA RESEARCH SCHOLAR, BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY, VARANASI, UTTAR PRADESH INDIA. [email protected]. ABSTRACT We cannot imagine the growth and development of India without developing the rural areas and agricultural sectors. Developing the rural areas is the need of an hour. This is the reason behind which I selected to study the growth of the Gramin Bank of Aryavart (GBA) which is newly setup in the year 2013 by amalgamating the two regional rural banks of Uttar Pradesh. The objectives of the study to discuss the genesis and merger of Regional Rural Banks, analyze the various financial performance indicators of Gramin Bank of Arayavart and, evaluate the growth of Gramin Bank of Aryavart during 2013-2018. To fulfill the objectives secondary data will be used. Mainly data will be collects form the published annual report of the concerned bank. The data will be analyzed by using the graphs to show the growth of selected financial performance indicators of GBA. GBA had made sufficient progress from its establishment. On basis of study we can say that GBA have to make much more improvements in its assets and make practices to reduce its liability. KEYWORDS: Amalgamation, Annual report, GBA, RBI, RRBs.
