Transport from Schönefeld Airport to the Citystay Hostel, Rosenstraße 16, 10178 Berlin

The train station is located at the airport, just a 6-minute walk away from the terminal:

 Before entering the train, you need to buy a single ticket for zone ABC at the ticket machine. The ticket is valid for a one-way trip and all means of transport for two hours, it costs 3,30 € and you have to punch it before you enter the train.  Please take train No. S9 in the direction S Pankow. until the station called Ostkreuz (you have to travel for 10 stations); go to the platform downstairs and change either for the S 75 in direction Westkreuz, S 7 in direction Potsdam or the S5 in direction Spandau; then leave at Hackescher Markt (another 5 stations)  Use the left exit (there should be a sign “Ausgang An der Spandauer Brücke”)  At the foot of the stairs (still inside of the building) turn right, leave the station and cross the parking lot – you should now find yourself in An der Spandauer Brücke  on the other side of the street you will see the street Rosenstraße  go straight into Rosenstraße and at the end you will see the Citystay Hostel The entire journey from the terminal to the hostel should take you approx. 50 minutes.

Transport from Tegel Airport to the Citystay Hostel, Rosenstraße 16, 10178 Berlin

The bus station is situated at the very exit of the airport:

The bus station is situated in front of the main terminal at the airport.  You need to buy a single ticket for zone AB:  at the ticket machine before entering the bus. In this case, you have to punch it before you enter the bus; or  from the bus driver, upon taking the bus. There is no need to punch it.  The ticket is valid for a one-way trip and all means of transport, and it costs 2,70 €  Take bus TXL in the direction S-U Hauptbahnhof until the Central Station (5 stops).  From there you can take either S7 in direction Ahrensfelde, S5 in direction Hoppegarten/Strausberg Nord or S75 in direction Wartenberg/Ostbahnhof.  After two stops, exit at the S-Bahn station Hackescher Markt.  Use the left exit (there should be a sign “Ausgang An der Spandauer Brücke”)  At the end of the stairs (still inside of the building) turn right, leave the station and follow the road – you should now find yourself in An der Spandauer Brücke  On the other side of the street you will see the street Rosenstraße.  Go straight into Rosenstraße and at the end you will see the Citystay Hostel, at Rosenstraße 16.

The entire journey from the terminal to the hostel should take you approximately 40 minutes.

How to get to the Hostel from the EYP International Office

There are several Sophienstraßen in Berlin so watch out that you go to the right one!
