Ideen und für den Bereich zwischen Wittenbergplatz und Nollendorfplatz gesucht Einladung zu zwei Informations- und Beteiligungsveranstaltungen am 8.8.2013 und 20.8.2013 in der Urania Die Straßenzüge Kleiststraße, Lietzenburger Straße, An der Urania und Kurfürstenstraße sind für viele Anwohnerinnen und Anwohnern und eine immer größere Zahl von TouristInnen wichtige Stadt- und Lebensräume. Als Fußgänger/in oder Radfahrer/in durchquert man bisher jedoch wenig attraktive Verkehrsräume, die sich hauptsächlich an den Bedürfnissen des Autoverkehrs ausrichten - das soll sich ändern! Mit den AnrainerInnen, AnwohnerInnen, ImmobilieneigentümerInnen und der interessierten Fachöffentlichkeit wollen wir darüber diskutieren, wie sich die Stadt in diesem Bereich weiter entwickeln soll. Es sind zunächst zwei Veranstaltungen vorgesehen: am Donnerstag, 8.08.2013 und Dienstag, 20.08.2013 jeweils von 18.30 bis 21.00 Uhr, in den Räumen der Urania (An der Urania 17, in 10787 Berlin). „Durch das Programm Aktive Zentren des Senats haben wir die Chance, unseren Schöneberger Teil der CITY WEST neu zu gestalten, darüber freuen wir uns. Ein neues Erscheinungsbild, neue Nutzungen, das Heilen von Sünden der Vergangenheit – all das könnte das Ergebnis sein. Wir laden Sie alle herzlich ein, sich an diesem spannenden Diskussionsprozess zu beteiligen.“ So die für Stadtentwicklung zuständige Stadträtin, Sibyll Klotz. Die CITY WEST umfasst mehr als Wittenbergplatz und Breitscheidplatz. Auch rund um die Einkaufsmagnete, KaDeWe und das Modekaufhaus P+C, die beide im Bezirk Tempelhof-Schöneberg liegen, ist eine Menge los. Der Stadtraum zwischen Wittenbergplatz und Nollendorfplatz trägt wichtige Cityfunktionen – ob als Arbeits- und Einzelhandelsstandort oder Wohn-, Lebens- und Kulturstandort.
