HOW DID STREET DANCE BEGIN?

Street dance is a dance style that began in 1970 and developed outside dance studios. It was invented by a man called Don Campbell, who loved dancing.

Perri Luc Kiely is an English street dancer, who was on Dancing on Ice since 2006. He was born on the 15th December 1995 and joined a dance troupe Diversity back in 2007 and after two years of training, they performed on Britain's Got Talent in 2009. CROXBY PRIMARY ACADEMY GRADUATE AWARD

Jorden Banjo is also a British street dancer and he also was a member of the dance group (Diversity). He was born in 31st December 1992 (age 27 years) and he has a little boy called Cassius Ashley Banjo.

WHY IS IT SO POPULAR?

Street dance has become really popular over the years and the popularity is still increasing now. In street dance you can create your own moves and it's just so much fun.

WHAT CLOTHING DO YOU WEAR IN STREAT DANCE?

Even though, many people wear baggy trousers when street dancing, there are other types of clothing you could wear such as: leggings, skin-tight jeans and shorts.

WHAT ARE THE ELEMENTS OF STREET DANCE?

Locking, Popping, Waving and Breaking also named b-boying or b-girling are styles you might learn. They all use R&B and pop music. The four main elements are rapping (MCing), DJing , Graffiti and b-boying/b-girling.
