December 30 The War in Iraq: • Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission: Annual Christmas Dinner; 5 pm: 419-241-6579 Nothing quite sums up what happened during our War in Iraq, other than the death tolls, than a statement of President George Bush last week in which he admitted that we weren’t January 1 winning the war. Just several days before the election, he had said we are “absolutely Happy New Year!! winning” the war. The Sykes’ loss • Amazon Lodge #4 Fish Fry: 11 am to 5 pm; Deliveries available on orders of 3 or more: to Taylor was a surprise in light of the polls and the fact that, in general, Democratic 419-531-7079 candidates, such as Marc Dann – who many would have thought would lose to Betty Montgomery in the Attorney General contest, were surging in the last moments before Election Day.
