INSURRECTION MEDIA EXPANDING INTO UK TELEVISION MARKET

Next Gen U.S. TV studio started by senior FOX exec Kiliaen Van Rensselaer

LOS ANGELES, May 18, 2017 – Insurrection Media, the independent, talent friendly U.S. television studio has set up a division in London with the goal of identifying, developing and producing world class television shows for traditional and streaming networks in the UK and Europe.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, Insurrection has seen significant momentum in the U.S. since its launch in 2015 with multiple television series in distribution including Drive Share created by and starring () and Rob Huebel (Transparent) and Liberty Crossing created by Emmy nominated Daniel Radosh (), starring Calum Worthy (Austin & Ally), Pete Ploszek (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), and Shelley Hennig (Teen Wolf) on Complex Networks. In the U.S., Insurrection is also funding a slate of pilot productions including its co-production with Keshet Studios of the show The Dead Girls Detective Agency based on the HarperCollins trilogy.

Insurrection has a multi-year SciFi production partnership with The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and David Alpert of Skybound Entertainment, through which it is developing a slate of shows. Insurrection also has a strategic relationship with HarperCollins Publishers where key books in SciFi, Drama, and Comedy are optioned and developed into television series.

Under Van Rensselaer's leadership, two senior officers at Insurrection will oversee the UK effort:

Jordanna Fraiberg, Head of Development Fraiberg is a veteran executive with nearly two decades of experience in TV, film, digital development and she is a published novelist. Most recently, Fraiberg helped launch a new original digital content division at Audible, an Amazon Company. Previously, she was VP, Production & Development for Village Roadshow where she served for nine years. Creatively, Fraiberg was as Consulting Producer, writing four episodes for the TV series Duality on Televisa USA and she wrote two YA novels published by Razorbill/Penguin. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA from Harvard and went on to receive an M.Phil in English Studies with Distinction at Oxford.

Deborah Henderson, General Counsel & Head of Production Henderson is an established Business Affairs and Legal executive with extensive experience in Production and Distribution for TV, Motion Pictures, New Media, Copyright & Trademark, Licensing, & Entertainment Law. She is widely considered an expert and thought leader in over-the-top video talent & distribution contracts. Before Insurrection, Henderson was General Counsel for Zodiak Americas, and previously, she served in senior roles of increasing responsibility in Business Affairs and Legal for Walt Disney Animation Studios. Before Disney, she was at Paramount Pictures overseeing Business Affairs and Legal for digital entertainment. Earlier in her career, Henderson was an Emmy-nominated producer, having worked on a dozen films for TV. She has a B.Arch. from Carnegie Mellon University, a J.D. Law degree from Columbia University, and an LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Computer & Communications from University College London (UCL).

Three UK based veteran producers will join Insurrection’s development effort through their company Grand Scheme Media:

Graham Smith Graham has been an Executive Producer for the BBC and a Commissioning Executive for Channel 4 and Channel Five. He has also run his own successful independent production company.

Mark Robson Mark Robson has been an Executive Producer for key British broadcasters, including ITV. He has worked as a successful development executive, devising and producing shows for Granada, ITV, Endemol, Channel 4, CBBC, Channel Five, Discovery and Disney. He has also run an interactive, multi- platform gaming channel for Sky.

Tony Orsten Tony was CEO of Chrysalis Television, Paramount UK, twofour54 in Abu Dhabi and Imaginarium Studios. Tony now sits on boards of a number of international media/tech companies and advises and mentors others.
