The tour will highlight some of the stories of residents who were some of the early buri- als at the site. The current cemetery was gazetted in 1863, with a trust in place, and operating by 1868. In 1870, floods badly eroded the Punt Flat cemetery site and the remains of the dead were washed down the Mitchell River and into Macleod Morass.
