Disadvantage: East Gippsland SA2s Socio-Economic Indexes for Areas (SEIFA) is an ABS product that ranks areas in Australia according to relative socio-economic advantage and disadvantage. SEIFA has 4 indexes. The Index of Relative Socio-economic Disadvantage (IRSD) is shown. It summarises variables that indicate relative disadvantage and ranks areas from most disadvantaged to least disadvantaged. This means that areas are divided up into ten equal sized groups, depending on their score. Some areas in the outskirts of this town (not affecting the interpretation of the map) may have been excluded.
