Earlier two meetings were held in August and November last year. The FederalABC Minister discussed issues faced by the stakeholders in Pakistan and abroad and assured them of the earliest resolution of these issues. Mr. Ali Haider Zaidi has been actively pursuing the VISA issue faced by seafarers and has already written a letter to Ministry of Foreign Affairs to coordinate with the diplomatic channels for its resolution. Further, the Federal Minister remarked “I have a firm belief that Pakistani human resource is not less than people of any other nationality and once given the right opportunities can do wonders”. 1 2 Womens’Day Celebration PNSC being an equal opportunity employer and keeping in view its growing women workforce celebrated womens’ day on 9th March. The theme of this year's event was "EACH FOR EQUAL" and "AN EQUAL WORLD IS AN ENABLED WORLD". Further, it aimed at promoting gender equality and women empowerment. Approximately 40,000 women lose their valuable lives every year in Pakistan which is the highest rate of breast cancer in Asia. This is because of the lack of knowledge regarding risk factors, symptoms and role of early diagnosis. Independence Day Celebration Breast Cancer Awareness Employee Appreciation Session Awareness Session on Mehfil-e-Milad Corona Virus 6 Delegation from Tanzania 26th November, 2020 A Tanzanian business delegation led by Mr. Paul Koyi, President Tanzania Chamber of Commerce & Industry comprising of four members visited PNSC head office on 26th November. During their visit, the delegation discussed opportunities for enhancing Pakistan – Tanzania trade in shipping sector. Chairman PNSC, Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Mangnejo and the Executive Directors were present at this occasion. 7 Mehfil-e-Milad A Mehfil-e-Milad was held on 11th November 2020 at PNSC Building, Karachi. PNSC employees recited different naats and graced the mehfil with their amazing voices. The event ended with salam and dua along with distribution of sweets. Christmas & Diwali Celebration The employees of PNSC belong to different races and religions.
