There were seven cars turned out to go on the run After a slow start we headed to Parker Pies of Rutherglen for coffee . After the ladies checked a few shops out, we headed to Wangaratta via 10 Chain road. We travelled through Wangaratta, down the main street heading towards Glenrowan, then turned off onto the Taminik Gap road over Mount Glenrowan to Baileys Winery. What a great spot, ever better on a sunny day with plenty to see. Lovely outdoor area but we settled for wine tasting and a look at their heritage museum. We all enjoyed lunch at their old block café, where they provided a selection of wood fired pizza's with salad. 6 After Baileys, Malcolm suggested we go to Booths winery which also incorporates the Black Dog Brewery, which was only 5k away .Just to finish the day off we stopped at the Wangaratta Boardwalk for coffee. I hope it was an enjoyable day for all who attended. The weather must be improving judging by the attendance at the September mid-week run! 19 cars faced starter Peter Spasojevic and were eager to get underway after he finished his briefing and flagged us off. The Yackandandah eating establishments were our goal and the drive there via Corryong, sorry Dederang, made the cakes, pies etc taste that much better! Unfortunately Pete and Annie's’ Mustang had over heating problems therefore their run ended prior to them getting to Yack. One feels one goes back in time when we visit the towns in our area. Petrol was marked at 70.5c/litre however none of us could find the pumps! The variety of cars parked in the main street is a testament to the pride RSCA members take with their vehicles. Having spent close on an hour in Yackandandah it was time to move on. The run to Tulleries Rutherglen took us along the Beechworth/Chiltern road; to me a picturesque road similar to most of the roads here in the North East. The club members arrived around 12.30 and then began the quest for more “Food glorious food” and a small sample of the product of the grape familiar of our area. Funny that Howard suggested we try the Anderson’s Durif! 11 Over the next couple of hours of enjoying the hospitality and general “good fun” of the day members voices became louder and louder so much so that Bob Towers completely lost his! Thanks again for a wonderful drive and luncheon venue organised by Peter and Carolyn. See you at the next midweek run no matter where it is! Greg “Chappelli” Chapple. During September and October an interesting range of events were held for our members enjoyment. Greg C gave Peter a hand and organized a Mystery Tour for the midweek runners, which was heaps of fun in true ’Chapelli’ style, with cars going in all directions - who was lost and who knew where they were going? You’ll need to read the Report to get the answer.

  • Scch:N URHEILU- Ja GT-AUTOLISTA: 04.03.2014 Scch:N
SccH:n hallitus ottaa vastaan muutosehdotuksia.
