Stability at home has allowed Starfleet vessels to travel well beyond charted space and gone into the deep unknown and execute Starfleet’s most basic duty. Yet perhaps the stable base may be more of a house of card than the Admiralty would like to acknowledge. The USS Valhalla, fully embracing the spirit of exploration, has travelled beyond charted space and is well on its way to making one of the first Gamma Quadrant first contacts since the Dominion War. The USS Nogura has seen a mission of support turn into a horror story as the terraforming site of a new Federation colony was found abandoned, apart from the kind of threat that not even hardened Starfleet officers want to encounter. The USS Black Hawk, upon entering the Finnean Convergence Zone, found its carefully planned trip to have an unexpected turn as the crew ended up on the other side without any memories and faced with a hostile force. Through luck and a bit of help from the future, the crew manages to hold onto their ship. Meanwhile, the crew of the USS Ride find their place of refuge to be quite a surprising facility that, while it seems ancient, may very well rival even the most powerful Starfleet structures. With at least four years left until their rescue in 2389, it is important for them to make it their home. Meanwhile the USS Proxima has been busy supplying remote worlds within the effective area of operations of Task Force 9, right now focusing on the Kendi system and the people within it. The USS Altai is leveraging the power of diplomacy to settle a matter on a non-Federation world where its presence has been requested. Finally, the USS Scorpio, having finally been released of its orders to guard Deep Space 11, has entered a nebula known as the Devil’s Cloud after significant retrofitting to survive the extremely corrosive gases within. Upon crossing the nebula it will be just days away from finally providing relief to the crew of the Ride. Task Force 38 Task Force 38 has a new lease on life with the unapproved trip through the Epatha Gateway. In the Alpha Quadrant, Starfleet Command faces the good and bad news with contact restored to the Task Force in the aftermath of the Battle of the Round Table. They have a task force, in name only, split between two theaters. Seeing that with renewed contact and a way to provide new personnel, Starfleet Command decided to appoint Major General Paul Potter, formerly of Task Force 72; to replace Admiral Michael Drake, the Acting Task Force Commander. In the Gradin Belt, relations between the Federation and the Hirogen have soured after the USS Equinox then entered Hirogen space and used the Hirogen Communication Network to restore communication with Starfleet and the Federation. The USS Saturn’s has been dispatched by the Federation Diplomatic Corps to Alvos III for First Contact. The USS Infinity has gone dark, and - 5 - off the radar, all communications both in and outbound have been blocked. Only a message carried in a modified type-9 probe has given any indication of her intentions. It is only known that before contact was lost that Commander Jane Vyre, had been contacted by the Tal Prai'ex. Other operations across the Delta Exploratory Initiative have continued par the course. The USS Victory responded to a distress call from a ship under attack by pirates, only to discover it was smuggling contraband. And the USS Perenolde is in transit with a new crew for its next deployment. Task Force 72 The Cardassian/Romulan War waged over the Gavarian Corridor lasted less than a year. Though both sides suffered minor losses, neither power was able to gain a stable foothold in the region. The Federation, spotting opportunity, stepped into the conflict and quickly mediated a peace agreement. Cardassian and Romulan borders expanded, and Starfleet was again allowed to reenter the corridor. One of the first ships to do so, the USS Firebrand, sets sail for Il’Trian IV to rebuild the Federation colony that was evacuated at the start of the war. Bajor, seven years into its Federation membership, makes a bold move for the Federation, opening its doors to establish a satellite campus for Starfleet Academy. Its first batch of cadets have been sworn in, and classes have begun. Elsewhere on the Cardassian/Federation border rests Deep Space 12 where its efforts in housing and processing refugees have come to an end, leaving the station eerily empty. By the Breen/Ferengi border, Roosevelt Station sends its attached vessels to the planet Risa, where a Ferengi ponzi scheme is about to be uncovered, along with a terrible secret that will reshape the quadrant. Still docked at the station, however, is the USS Ark Royal, an aging Ambassador-class starship, which is taking on a crew for diplomatic missions. Memory Theta, home to the Federation’s darkest secrets, dispatched its attached starship to the Bynars’ homeworld where an entire civilization has been placed in jeopardy thanks to a criminal Ferengi organization and Section 31. The Task Force Headquarters, Starbase 72, hosted a surprise Breen delegation looking for assistance against the Cardassian Union. After consulting with Starfleet Command, that assistance was denied. The Breen expected this, and continue with their other plans... The Constitution-Class USS Providence, having been pulled from 2270 to the present day, begins to adjust to their new surroundings. Rather than mothball the ship, the decision is made to keep the older vessel going and begin acclimating the crew to their new era. Meanwhile, bound on a mission beyond Federation space, the USS Traveller explores an ancient interstellar ark. As the Away Team investigates deeper, a dark force attacks the group who’ve stumbled into a war older than time. Questions continue to arise from the great Inconnu Expanse. An SCE Hazard Team, codenamed Valkyries, carefully and quickly study the remains of Deep Space 7. As what remains of the computer cores are downloaded, wiped and destroyed, new evidence suggests that the base’s destruction is not as it seems. The USS Pandora, having emerged from an altercation with the mysterious Ravagers, works quickly to safeguard the planet Salvaxe from being discovered by other Ravager parties. The crew complete their mission, and advance - 6 - further into the Expanse into a region known as “The Indigo Sky.” In orbit of Triton, the USS Hope completes a diplomatic mission. With the aid of a Tritone envoy and the arrival of several new crew members, the USS Hope continues its journey into the Expanse. Meanwhile, the newly commissioned USS Magellan prepares to launch into the Expanse to investigate some questionable rumors. What new danger has the Inconnu Expanse yet to reveal? Task Force 93 TF93 continues to grapple with war on two fronts: The Klingon Civil War along with the Gorn Incursion of the Cestus & Canterra Sectors.
