The International Councillor Newsletter of the Council of International Investigators May 2007 Issue 3 Spring time in Paris - Temps de ressort à Paris By Lois Colley Never fail to take Joan Beach seriously. When our Past Chairman/President Beach suggested dinner in Paris, many of us jumped at the opportunity to book a flight. But it took our dynamic European colleagues to make it happen. Sev- eral of our European members not only embraced the op- portunity to plan this elegant evening, but donated time, resources, contacts and euros to make it a reality. As a re- sult of their hard work, the 2007 European Regional Meet- ing occurred on Saturday 14 April 2007 amid the splendor of the City of Lights—Paris! Credit goes to Regional Hosts Joel Auribault and Goolam Monsoor working under the tutelage of former Past President/Chairman/Executive RD Alan Marr. And behind that backdrop stood Lord Richard Green who was intricately involved in every stage of the events from arranging a dining room at no cost to CII mem- bers, donating champagne, and always acting as one of the CII MEMBERS ENJOYED A MEAL, BUT MORE impor- consummate hosts. tantly the fellowship of meeting with members and families, Spending time in any city that is 2000 years old is a while socializing in one of the great European cities. humbling experience, but Paris is beyond any fantasy - es- art since the Renaissance.
