SOUTHWESTERN QUICK HITS Nov. 10 at Bethany 1:30 p.m. Anderson Stadium (2,500) - Lindsborg, Kan. -Southwestern is looking for back-to-back wins for the first time since the 2009 season Saturday when the Moundbuilders host the Sterling College Warriors. 2012 SOUTHWESTERN COACHING STAFF On the Field... -A win Saturday would mark the first time Southwestern has posted back-to-back home wins in the three-year -Ken Crandall (Head Coach) history of Richard L. Jantz Stadium. It would also be the first time since 2009 that Southwestern has won back-to- -Jimmie Tagg (Offensive Coordinator) back home games. -Logan Wyrick (Running Backs/Tight Ends) -Andrew Krause (Defensive Coordinator) -Southwestern features multiple options at both of its key skill positions. Anthony Sims and Jacobi Johnson have -Eric McCormick (Defensive Line Coach) split time at halfback, while Jordan Barrett and Brady May have shared time at quarterback. May engineered two -Kenard Calhoun (Linebackers) touchdown drives in the fourth quarter of last week’s loss at McPherson. In the Press Box... -Sterling has not been kind to Southwestern Head Coach Ken Crandall. His only win against Sterling came last -Joe Pirillo (Offensive Line) season when Sterling was forced to forfeit the game late in the season due to the use of an illegal player. Crandall -Cody Melby (Offensive Assistant is now 1-5 against the Warriors -Kevin Griffin (Inside Linebackers) -Southwestern owns a 52-22-2 all-time record against the Warriors, but Sterling has dominated the series as of late. Last season’s forfeit was the first Soutwestern win since 2003. -One of Southwestern’s own student-athletes will find themselves with a torn allegiance in Saturday’s game. Sterling-native Hannah Dierksen plays volleyball for Southwestern. Her brother, Gabe Dierksen, is an outside linebacker for Sterling.
