It is located 13.35 kilometers to the west of El Centro (Plaza de Bolívar) Bogota, between the towns of Fontibón and Engativá. At the El Dorado Airport there are 30 international airlines, 6 domestic airlines and 18 cargo airlines. Currently the airport handles an average of 36 million passengers and 820 thousand tons per year.
