BOARD DECISIONS ON APPLICATIONS FOR AIR AND GROUND HANDLING SERVICES LICENCES
At its 29h Ordinary Board Meeting held on 11 December 2019 at the Aviation House, the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority’s Board of Directors considered, among other things, applications for air and ground handling services licences from companies/operators listed hereunder; and reached the following decisions:

NB – Ground Handling Licences: 1. A licensee can only provide the approved services after being granted a concession to do so by the respective airport operator. 2. A licensee approved for Class I airport is automatically approved for Classes II and III airports as well. Likewise, a licensee approved for Class II airports is automatically approved for Class III airports as well. A licensee approved for Class III airports can only provide services in airports under class III. 3. The Classes are categorized for the purposes of licensing of ground handling services as follows: 1. Class I – Julius Nyerere International Airport; 2. Class II – Kilimanjaro International Airport, Zanzibar International Airport and Mwanza Airport; 3. Class III – Other airports in the United Republic of Tanzania.
