The village is located within Baschurch Parish which also contains the village of Weston Lullingfields and other small hamlets. A major landmark in the village is the church , All Saints Church, which is one of the oldest structures standing in the village. Baschurch has many local amenities including two pubs, a small supermarket, post office, a garage, takeaway, village hall , doctors surgery and retained fire station. The nearest rail sta- tion is Shrewsbury, the Shrewsbury to Chester line passes through the village but the station has long since closed.
