The Hospice Society of the Columbia Valley and the Seniors of Canal Flats are hosting a "Tree of Lights" event to be held at the Columbia Discovery Centre in Canal Flats, on December 11th at 6:30 PM. The event will include music, a poem will be read by a Hospice visitor and a greeting from a Hospice board member, followed by a re- ception in the Discovery Centre. The "Tree of Lights" will be lit 24 hours a day for 6 weeks in front of the Discovery Centre. The lights represent the memory of those that have passed. We have had many losses and it will be an opportunity to bring the community together to help in the grieving and healing of our neighbours, friends and relatives. "Tree of Lights" cards will be filled out with the person's name and be given to you the night of the 11th. There is also a memory book that will have each person's name and will be kept in Hospice Office in Invermere. The lights cost $10.00 each and the money will be used to support Hospice and Bereavement visits here in our community. The pamphlets are available at the Village Office and the Post Of- fice. Please return the form with the person's information by the morning of Dec. 4th to the Village Office.

Also on Dec 3rd. a presentation by Maria Kliavkoff on how to help someone who is bereaving will be held from 7 till 8:30 at the Canal Flats Civic Centre.
