Canal Flats Community Newsletter Volume 60, Issue 12 canalfl[email protected] DEC.3rd 2015 The Christmas Bureau of the Columbia Valley is looking for sponsors to help families and individuals over the holiday season. How can you help? 1. Sponsor an individual or family (or families) at a cost of $75 - $200/ family depending on the family size. This means you provide the funds to cover the cost of the grocery gi card and also assemble a wrapped gi box of goodies (shoe- box size). If you are unable to assemble the gi box, there is an opon to provide an addional $25 to cover that cost. 2. Make a flat donaon to the Christmas Bureau. 3. Donate any items that would be suitable to enclose in a gi box, such as candy, baking, toothbrushes, soaps, dish/ face cloths, games, puzzles, crayons, coloring books, scratch ckets, homemade items, etc. These items will then be used by the volunteers to make “goodie” boxes for any unsponsored families. 4. Visit one of the Angel trees at Dairy Queen, Fields or Home Hardware, pick up a tag and purchase a gi for a child. This Holiday season, gi cards will be given to families at their preferred choice of grocery store in the Columbia Valley, and will also include a gi for each child listed on the applicaon.
