RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING BlNlBlNlNG PILIPINAS INTERNATIONAL TITLE HOLDER MISS PRECIOUS LARA QUIGAMAN FOR BEING CROWNED AS THE 2005 HELD IN TOKYO, JAPAN LAST SEPTEMBER 26, 2005, DEMONSTRATING TO THE WHOLE WORLD THE INTELLIGENCE, TALENT, BEAUTY AND COURAGE INNATE IN EVERY FILIPINO

WHEREAS, Ms. Precious Lara Quigaman, who won the International Title in March 19, 2005, participated and officially represented the Philippines in the prestigious 2005 Miss International Pageant in Tokyo, Japan;

WHEREAS, Ms. Quigaman bested 52 other delegates from all over the world in the annual international making her the fourth Filipina to be exalted with the prestigious international title after several years of participation;

WHEREAS, Ms. Quigaman, as an accomplished freelance web writer and model who completed two college degrees namely NVQ Media Production and Communications at Filton College and Bachelor of Arts major in Childhood and Youth Studies at Bristol in the United Kingdom of Great Britain, was able to affirm her worth through exemplary display of her talent, intelligence and notable physical beauty;

WHEREAS, the victory of Wls. Quigaman has proven once again that the Philippines can be supreme over the rest of the world making us all proud to be Filipinos;

WHEREAS, Ms. Quigaman has undoubtedly participated in the 2005 Miss International Pageant not only to win the title for herself but more so to earn the honor and glory the country has long been yearning for in the event.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, that the Senate expresses its sincere congratulations to the Binibining Pilipinas International title holder Miss Precious Lara Quigaman for being crowned as the 2005 Miss International held in Tokyo, Japan last September 26, 2005, demonstrating to the whole world the intelligence, talent, beauty and courage innate in every Filipino.
