For stakeholders to gain a correct understanding of the strategic growth measures presented as our priority issues, in addition to financial information such as financial results, review of operations and management strategies, it is also important to gain a systematic understanding of non-financial information relating to aspects such as society, the environment, human resources and governance. Based on this belief, from fiscal 2015, our Annual Report features enhanced and integrated non-financial information. In editing the report, we referred to the International Integrated Reporting Framework ver 1.0, which was published by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) in December 2013. http://www.kankyo.metro.tokyo.jp/en/index.html Introduction In the year 2000, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) replaced the Tokyo Metropolitan Pollution Prevention Ordinance with the Tokyo Metropolitan Environmental Security Ordinance, which covers countermeasures for vehicle pollution, chemical substances and climate change. The reason for the replacement was a shift in Tokyo’s environmental problems from industrial pollution mainly attributable to factories to urban and domestic pollution due to vehicle emissions and chemical substances, which may sometimes be related to climate change problems. In 2002, we started two programmes on which Tokyo’s present climate change strategy has been based: Tokyo Green Building Program for new buildings and Tokyo Carbon Reduction Reporting Program for existing large facilities. Since 2005, we have been promoting environmentally superior developments by introducing a mechanism to evaluate and disclose facilities’ efforts made in the programmes. In Tokyo’s Big Change - The 10-Year Plan developed in 2006, we set a goal of reducing citywide greenhouse gas emissions by 25% below 2000 levels by 2020 to make Tokyo a city with the least environmental impact in the world. Then in 2007, we announced the Tokyo Climate Change Strategy, which clarified our basic attitude toward tackling climate change for the next 10 years. Following a revision of the Tokyo Metropolitan Environmental Security Ordinance in 2008, we launched the Tokyo Cap-and-Trade Program for large facilities, the world’s first urban cap- and-trade scheme that covers office buildings as well, and the Carbon Reduction Reporting Program for small and medium facilities, committed to advancing our climate change strategy ever since then.

November 7, 2016 For immediate release Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. Nihonbashi Revitalization Plan’s Two Projects Awarded the Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Minister’s 2016 Land Use Model Award Tokyo, Japan, November 7, 2016 Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., a leading global real estate company headquartered in Tokyo, announced today that the Nihonbashi Muromachi East District Development Project and Nihonbashi-honcho 2-chome Redevelopment Project forming part of the Nihonbashi Revitalization Plan in which the Company is involved were awarded with the Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Minister’s Fiscal 2016 Land Use Model Awards, which is sponsored by the Institute for Future Urban Development. The Land Use Model Awards seek exemplary cases of successful models with land being used effectively with appropriate maintenance management and awards those cases, introducing them nationwide to spread their initiatives. The awards were held this year for the 13th time. The judging panel examines cases based on the two themes of creative methods used to bring projects to fruition and contribution the project made to energizing surrounding areas and society. The Nihonbashi Muromachi East District Development Project and Nihonbashi-honcho 2-chome Redevelopment Project share the Nihonbashi Revitalization Plan concept of “Proceeding to Create While Retaining and Reviving” while rebuilding or redeveloping across multiple large-scale districts, retaining the fixed historical and other identities of those areas and regenerating them as sustainable cities in harmony with the environment to successfully create new value for the Nihonbashi district. Moreover, these developments were also highly assessed for being outstanding examples of district development and redevelopment with Mitsui Fudosan providing comprehensive management to take the lead in multiple rebuilding projects, devising a clear concept for the overall area while incorporating the needs of local landowners, and developing to enhance the value of the entire Nihonbashi area.

June 4, 2019 For immediate release Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. 90th Anniversary of Mitsui Main Building, an Officially Designated Important Cultural Property Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., a leading global real estate company headquartered in Tokyo, recently announced that it will be commemorating the 90th anniversary of Mitsui Main Building, an officially designated Important Cultural Property in Tokyo’s Nihonbashi district, on Saturday, June 15, 2019. Mitsui Main Building was built in 1929 to serve as the base of operations for the Mitsui conglomerate (Mitsui Zaibatsu), housing the headquarters of its principal companies, including Mitsui Company, which was the conglomerate’s holding company, Mitsui Bank (present-day: Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation), The Mitsui Trust Company (present-day: Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank), and Mitsui Mining (present-day: Nippon Coke & Engineering Co., Ltd.). In December 1998, it became the first large-scale, multi-tenant office building to be officially designated an Important Cultural Property by the Japanese government. Mitsui Fudosan is currently promoting the Nihonbashi Revitalization Plan, a joint public-private-community initiative on the concept of "Proceeding to Create While Retaining and Reviving.” Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower and COREDO Muromachi had already opened, the plan’s new flagship project, Nihonbashi Muromachi Mitsui Tower, was completed in March of this year, and another project, COREDO Muromachi Terrance, will open in September. Alongside these “Proceeding to Create” projects, Mitsui Main Building is an energy-resilient building even in disasters by means of receiving its electricity from the energy center within Nihonbashi Muromachi Mitsui Tower, thereby embodying the “Retaining and Reviving” aspect of the plan’s concept.
