Haughton Academy 2017 Haughton Academy Haughton Academy Curriculum Offer – Key Stage 3 • The Year 7 Curriculum is currently arranged by ‘Bands’. Initially the ‘Bands’ are arranged by using the ‘Average Points Data – for English and Maths’ from KS2, that we receive for each child.
• The ‘Bands’ are reviewed following the assessment periods within the school year. This allows for movement up or down within the ‘Banding’ arrangement based on the needs of the individual student.
Haughton Academy 2017 Haughton Academy Haughton Academy Curriculum Offer – Key Stage 3 • So in Year 7, over the 2 week timetable period, students will study a broad and balanced curriculum that currently consists of:-
English – 6 Hours Accelerated Reader – 2 Hours Maths – 7 Hours Art – 3 Hours Science – 6 Hours Geography – 3 Hours PE – 4 Hours History – 3 Hours Design Technology – 3 Hours Music – 2 Hours MFL – 4 Hours Religious Education – 2 Hours ICT – 3 Hours TOTAL – 48 Hours
