Nature & Biodiversity LIFE PROJECTS 2011 LIFE Nature Environment Introduction to LIFE+ Nature & Biodiversity 2011 LIFE+ Nature & Biodiversity 2011: Commission funds 76 innovation projects in 22 countries with €136 million The European Commission has approved funding for 76 new environment projects in 22 countries under the LIFE+ Nature & Biodiversity programme 2011. These projects will demonstrate new methods and tech- niques for dealing with a wide range of problems affecting species, habitats and biodiversity in Europe. The projects are led by ‘beneficiaries’, or project promoters, based in Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
