1. RULES 1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing. 1.2 Boats that take part in FEC should base on the Notice of Race concerned. If there is a conflict between both of them it shall be settled by between OAs after due consultation.

2. ADVERTISING [DP] 2.1 Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the OA. 2.2 Advertisements of the team on the racing boats must be approved by the organizing authority beforehand.

3. ELIGIBILITY and ENTRY 3.1 Boats that take part in FEC. 3.2 Boats that are registered in JSAF or TSF and meet requirements below: 3.2.1 Owner and/or skipper, at least one, shall be a member of JSAF 3.2.2 Boats shall insured with valid third-party liability insurance 3.2.3 The dead line for applying will be by August 11th (Sunday), 2019.

4. ENTRY FEE (except FEC boats) 4.1 For the entry of the race: 4,000JPY/boat and

for the entry of the party: 4,000JPY/person

4.2 Boats shall transfer to below account with the total entry fee of the race and party within 2 weeks after

sending the entry form,

5. CLASS (GROUP) Group A: Boats that take part in FEC

Group B: Boats that are registered in JSAF or TSF

6. REGISTRATION and DECLARATION of CHECK-OUT 6.1 Boats shall provide following documents at the registration:

・Entry Form (by 11th August), ・Declaration Form of check out and Copy of “valid third-party liability insurance”

6.2 The boat that cancels to join the race on 14th September shall notify the RC office (see NoR 16) before the beginning of the skippers meeting that will be held at 8：30AM.

6.3 OA will give a special instruction to boats that take part in FEC

7. SCHEDULE 13th September (Fri) 15：00－18：00 Registration (Toyama-ken Shinminato Marina) 14th September (Sat) 7：50－ 8：20 Registration (Toyama-ken Shinminato Marina) 8：30 Skippers' Meeting (Owners' room in Toyama-ken Shinminato Marina) 10：00 Parade at sea in front of Kaiwomaru Park 11：00 Warning Signal for Group A (FEC's boats) 11：10 Warning Signal for Group B (Local Participants' boats) 14：00 Time limit for Group A 14：20 Time limit for Group B 15：00～1６：００ Exchange symposium“introduction of the situation of each country” (Special Site in Toyama Shinminato Marina) 16：00～18：00 Award Ceremony for Toyama Bay Race & Reception Party (Special Site in Toyama Shinminato Marina) 18：00 Clear up the place together after the party 18：30 Move to the Kureha Youth Nature House by bus (only participants of FEC)

8. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS The sailing instructions will be posted on the event website（http://www.toyama-sailing.atnifty.com/ fareastcup/）by 7th September and available at the registration desk on the day.

9. VENUE The venue is as follow locations:

9.1 Regatta Harbor, Skippers Meeting (at the Owners' Room) and Award Ceremony & Party will be held at

2 Toyama Shinminato Marina (Kairyu Marine Park). ☎ +81 766 86 5440

9.2 Parade at sea will be held at the Kaiwomaru Park and off the coast. ☎ +81 766 82 5181

10. THE COURSE The course to be sailed will be as follows:

Start (off the Kaiwomaru-Park) – First mark (in front of the Manyo-wharf) – Offset mark – Finish (off the

Kaiwomaru-Park).

The course requires boats to round the marks to port.

11. PENALTY SYSTEM RRS 44.1 is changed so that Two-Turn Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty.

12. SCORING The scoring system is as follows: Group A: The finishing place will be its ranking. Group B: The ranking will be applied by TCF of the TSF Keelboat Committee.

13. PRIZES Prizes will be given to the winner of Group A, B and some extra.

14. SAFETY REGULATIONS 14.1 Boats shall be kept a hull and equipment in a good repair. 14.2 Boats shall be met the qualification of “Limited coasting area”comply with the law of the Ship Safety Act. 14.3 Boats shall have a Marine VHF and/or Cellphone for the means to communicate and keep watch on it always on the water. 14.4 Boats shall follow the instruction of the race committee boat promptly. 14.5 Fishing net is designated as“obstruction”based on the definition. Boats are requested not to get closer to the fishing net and navigation buoy. 14.6 OA will give a special instruction to boats that take part in FEC.

15. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

16. PHOTOGRAPHY CONSENT By participating in this event, competitors automatically grant the organizing authority and the event

sponsors the right, in perpetuity, to make, use, and show, at their discretion, any photography, audio and video

3 recordings, and other reproductions of them made at the venue or on the water from the time of their arrival

at the venue, until their final departure, without compensation.
