Tarixiy obyEkt (makon)ga nisbatan fanning maqsadi, vazifasi, yo'nalishi bElgilanadi. Ma’lum bir ma’noda obyEkt bilan prEdmEt bir-biriga juda yaqin tushuncha bo‘lsa-da, ular tarix fanida tutgan o‘mi va vazifasi bilan farqlanadilar. ObyEkt aniq tarixiy davr, makon, zamon, gEografik va umumiy mintaqaviy chEgaralar, ma’lum xalqlar, mamlakatlar tarixi bilan bog‘liq jarayonlar bo‘lib, ular voqEa va hodisalami bir butun hamda yaxlitlikda qamrab oladi. PrEdmEt Esa mana shu obyEkt ichidagi aniq tarixiy- madaniy, ijtimoiy-iqtisodiy jarayonlardan iborat bo‘lgan aniq voqEa va hodisalami o‘rganishdir. Yuqorida tarix fani bir qator faniar, xususan ijtimoiy-gumanitar fanlari bilan mustahkam va uzviy aloqada o'rganiladi, dEdik. Shuni ham aytish lozimki, tarix va boshqa aksariyat ijtimoiy- gumanitar fanlaming o ‘rganish obyEkti inson, davlat va jamiyatdir. Shuning uchun ham boshqa faniar tarix fani taraqqiyotiga hissa qo‘shadi, tarixiy haqiqat ro‘yobga chiqishiga bEvosita yordam bEradi. Tarix faninini, ya’ni vatan tarixini xolis o‘rganish xalqimiz o‘tmishi haqida zarur ma’lumotlarga Ega boMishda muhim o‘rin tutadi, xalqimiz kElajak taqdirini ravnaq topishida muhim ahamiyatga Ega. ZEro, o‘zbEk xalqi va O'rta Osiyo mintaqasida azaldan birga istiqomat qilib kElayotgan xalqlar tarixi o'zaro mushtarak boMib, ular insoniyat tarixining ajralmas qismi hisoblanadi.     CHINGGIS KHAN AND HIS CONQUEST OF KHORASAN: CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES BY ANIBA ISRAT ARA ARSHAD ISLAM INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY MALAYSIA ABSTRACT This book explores the causes and consequences of Chinggis Khan’s invasion of Khorasan in the 13th century. It discusses Chinggis Khan’s charismatic leadership qualities that united all nomadic tribes and gave him the authority to become the supreme Mongol leader, which helped him to invade Khorasan. It also focuses on the rise of the Muslim cities in Khorasan where many Muslim scholars kept their intellectual brilliance and made Khorasan the cultural capital of the Muslims. This study apprises us of Chinggis Khan’s war tactics and administrative system which made his men extremely strong and advanced despite their culture remaining barbaric in nature. His progeny also followed a similar policy for a long time until all Muslim cities were fully destroyed. The work also focuses on the rise of many sectarian divisions among the Muslims which brought disunity that eventually led to their downfall. Thus, this study underscores the importance of revitalization of unity in the Muslim world so that Muslims may not become vulnerable to any foreign imperialistic power. PROLOGUE The literature compiled on Usul al-Fiqh from 2nd to 6th century A.H is indeed a significant landmark for evolution of the Islamic legal theory. The concept of Ijtihad as methodology reveals the comprehensiveness of the Islamic legal system covering the objectives (Maqasid) of the Revelation (Wahy), as well as Welfare (Falah) of the society. The evolution of the Fiqh methodologies including Ijtihad was to address, interpret and explore all such possibilities, where the text (Matan) needed further explanation (Tashrih) for the legislation process. This exertion also facilitated the idea, as how a particular legal deduction is to be applied in its appropriate socio-legal perspective. It is due to this particular intent that Islamic jurisprudence attained all the necessary features required to construct sound and evolving socio-legal mechanism. The concept of Ijtihad in socio-political matters stimulated and re-blooded Islamic institutions to attain the inclusive universal character. The Fuqaha (jurists) utilized their utmost intellectual worth to ensure the maximum socio-legal benefit while deducing law from a variety of generally accepted sources.

Brooke 1 Copyrighted by Henry Ray Misa 2020 2 Abstract This thesis argues that the methodology of environmental history, specifically climate history, can help reinterpret the economic and political history of Central Eurasia. The introduction reviews the scholarly fields of Central Eurasian history, Environmental history and, in brief, Central Eurasian Environmental history. Section one introduces the methods of climate history and discusses the broad outlines of Central Eurasian climate in the late Holocene. Section two analyzes the rise of the Khitan and Tangut dynasties in their climatic contexts, demonstrating how they impacted Central Eurasia during this period. Section three discusses the sedentary empires of the Samanid and Ghaznavid dynasties in the context of the Medieval Climate Anomaly. Section four discusses the rise of the first Islamic Turkic empires during the late 10th and 11th century. Section five discusses the Qarakhitai and the Jurchen in the 12th century in the context of the transitional climate regime between the Medieval Quiet Period and the early Little Ice Age. The conclusion summarizes the main findings and their implications for the study of Central Eurasian Climate History. This thesis discusses both long-term and short-term time scales; in many cases small-scale political changes and complexities impacted how the long-term patterns of climate change impacted regional economies.

The political situation on the eve of the rule of the Samanids in the valley, the rule of the Samanids in Ferghana, the events of 823 and 828, the conflict between Nasr and Ismoil, several uprisings at the beginning of the tenth century and the process of transferring Ferghana to the hands of the Samanids are highlighted. Key words and expressions: Ferghana, the Arab Caliphate, Mahdi, Ahmad ibn Asad, Chungjung, Karluks, Jabgu, Jabuya, Samanids, Rafei bin Lays, Shawdar Ismoil, Nasr, Suffarids, Iskhoq ibn Ahmad, Muhammad ibn Asad, Toghon. Political events in Ferghana at the end of the VIII century are widely covered in historical sources [12, 13, 16, 19, 20, 27, 28], with insignificant information about the ruling people. For example, Ahmad ibn Asad, the deputy Movarounnahr during the Caliph Mahdi (775-785), invaded Ferghana with a large army, and the king of Ferghana in Koson officially recognized the authority of the Caliphat. In Chinese sources there is evidence that the ruler of Ferghana was called Zhongji and he sends his son Shuei to China in 771 [12: 319] Thus, it is likely that Zhongji [22: 285] was the ruler of Ferghana during the reign of Ahmad ibn Asad, but the Turkic name and the years of his reign are not known yet.

Maryam Mohammadi 1*, Javad Neyestani 2 Received:2011/11/11 Accepted: 2012/12/31 Abstract With the formation of local and national governments during the 3rd-5th centuries A.H. [9th - 11th A.D.], the circumstances were prepared for adaption and recreating cultural and artistic traditions of Sassanid period. In this regard, Samanid governors played a key role. Amir Ismail Samanid came up with a style which became a pattern for numerous mausoleums and on the other hand connected the architectural elements and designs of Sassanids with the Islamic era. The Mausoleum of Amir Ismail Samanid itself shows how the Sassanid architectural elements appear in a new format. Both the design and construction of this building appears to have been carried out objectively, and Amir Samanid had somehow intended to follow the Sassanid dynasty. Studying the architectural elements and features of the Ismail Samanids Mausoleum as well as adaptions from the Sassanid architecture, and also its historical and cultural contexts (the revival of Iranian identity and returning to the traditions of Sassanian, during the 3rd – 5th centuries A.H.) are the main objectives of the present paper.
