We are a volunteer-run, individual-membership organization open to all book professionals in the Washington, DC, area. Members represent every facet of the publishing industry from entry level to senior management in the areas of design and production, acquisitions and editing, marketing and sales, proofreading and indexing, packaging and project management, financial and legal, translations and rights, multimedia, and author representation. Members may be freelance or publishing staff members within associations, educational institutions, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, or private firms.
