İstanbul’da müzik severlerin heyecanla İKSV’nin en genç festivali olarak hâlâ ilk beklediği, kent tarihinin ve ruhunun önemli günkü gibi heyecanlıyız. Sizlere çok yönlü bir parçası olan İstanbul Caz Festivali, bir program hazırladık. Bir taraftan geçmiş yolculuğuna 26’ncı yılında da aynı coşku ve yılların en sevilen etkinliklerinden Caz tutkuyla devam ediyor. Vapuru’nu tekrar yapmanın, diğer taraftan Biz de Garanti BBVA olarak İstanbul Kültür ücretsiz etkinliklerimize (hem de semtimiz Sanat Vakfı’nın öncülük ettiği bu müzik Beyoğlu’nda) bir yenisini eklemenin yolcuğuna 22 yıldır eşlik etmenin gururunu mutluluğu içindeyiz. Yugoslavya’dan boyunca geniş repertuarı ve farklı dillerde Türkiye’ye gelen ve Kuyruklu Yıldızlar şarkıları başarıyla söyleyebilme yeteneği grubunda profesyonel müzik hayatına adım sayesinde genç yaşına rağmen büyük atan Hürsever, Aralarında Atilla Şereftuğ, bir başarı ve popülarite kazandı. 1970’li Özdemir Erdoğan, Ayten Alpman, Ali Kayral, yıllarda Mutluluk, Sevemem Artık gibi Kayahan, Ümit Aksu, Esin Engin, Ayhan şarkılarıyla çeşitli kereler altın plak ödülünü Yünkuş’un bulunduğu birçok müzisyenle kazandı. 1979’da Avrupa ve Amerika’dan çalıştı. 1980 yılında Süheyl Denizci aldığı konser teklifleri üzerine müziğe yurt tarafından kurulan İstanbul TRT Hafif dışında devam etme kararı aldı. Bu tarihten Müzik ve Caz Orkestrası’na katıldı. 1987 sonra profesyonel müzik yaşamıma İtalya, Yılında Fatih Erkoç, Neşet Ruacan ve Ergun Amerika ve Almanya’da devam etti. 2000’li HASAN HÜRSEVER Eremkar ile Finlandiya’da Uluslararası Pori ÖMÜR GÖKSEL yıllarda A Touch of Quality ve A Touch of Caz Festivali’nde çaldı. TRT Hafif Müzik Love gibi albümleriyle büyük bir başarı ve Caz Orkestrası’ndan emekli olduktan yakalayan Göksel, bu serideki çalışmalarına sonra uzun yıllar piyanist Şevket Uğurluer takip eden yıllarda da devam etti. From my point of view, there is no other citation, which more properly expresses the emotional impact of music to human beings. People come and go, but music remains forever, since acoustic waves are not bound to matter like monuments, paintings, or sculptures. In contrast, music as sound in general is transmitted by matter vibrations and can be reproduced independent of space and time. In this way, music is able to connect humans from the earliest high cultures to people of our present societies all over the world. Music is indeed a universal language and likely not restricted to our planetary society. The importance of music to the human society is also underlined by the Voyager mission: Both Voyager spacecrafts, which were launched at August 20th and September 05th, 1977, are bound for the stars, now, after their visits to the outer planets of our solar system (mission status: https://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/status/). They carry a gold- plated copper phonograph record, which comprises 90 minutes of music selected from all cultures next to sounds, spoken messages, and images from our planet Earth. There is rather little hope that any extraterrestrial form of life will ever come along the Voyager spacecrafts. But if this is yet going to happen they are likely able to understand the sound of music from these records at least.
