GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (“GDPR”) A new European Data Protection law, the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), is being introduced on 25 May 2018. This new law applies to any organisation, including our parish that manages and processes people’s personal information. We are now working on ways of ensuring that what we do with your information is compliant with this new law. It is a work in progress and over the next few months we will keep you informed through the parish website and in the newsletter as policies are put in place. If you have any questions about this please do not hesitate to contact the parish office.

PARKING IN THE CHURCH GROUNDS Can we please remind Parishioners that the parking spaces around the church are for people with disabilies, and should not be used by anyone else. It is very difficult and unfair to see people who genuinely need these spaces and can’t avail of them to have to struggle unnecessarily. Should anyone need a Church Permit, please get in touch with the Parish Office. COMMUNITY ~ NOTICES

On the First Friday of every month our priests visit Parishioners who are sick or housebound. During these visits, they have a chat, hear confessions and bring Holy Communion. There is also a Monthly Mass in Blainroe Lodge and two Masses in the Day Care Centre organised each month. Following on from that, our Eucharistic Ministers also visit the homes of those who are housebound every Sunday with the Blessed Sacrament . They always visit in pairs and provide a simple little prayer service, followed by Communion. They would normally leave the Newsletter and Sunday Mass leaflet with the Parishioner, to allow them keep up to date with the parish. This is a wonderful service provided by the Ministers and is greatly appreciated by those whom they visit. As well as visiting the homes of individuals, the Ministers of the Eucharist provide a Prayer/Communion service in the Day Care Centre on a monthly basis and in Blainroe Lodge every Sunday. ~~~~~~ If you know of someone who would appreciate any of these services please get in touch with the Parish Office in order to include them on the current list. This service is also available on a short term basis, for those who may be just out of hospital or those who are unable to get to the church for whatever reason. This Ministry is a separate one from the weekly or weekend Ministers of the Eucharist - If you feel that this might be of interest to you and you would like to volunteer to be either a driver or a Minister of the Eucharist for the Sick and Housebound, again, please get in touch with the Parish Office. There is full training available before anyone commits to this Ministry. Your help would be appreciated and you would be very welcome to join this team!

Sharing the Gospel One day one of your best friends may move away, and you won't see him every day. You can sll stay close to your friend by talking on the phone, wring leers, or sending e-mail messages. Jesus knew he would be leaving. He would not see his friends every day. Jesus promised to send his Spirit to them. When they were confused, the Spirit would show them the truth. When they missed him, Jesus would send them messages by the Holy Spirit. Through the Spirit, Jesus could always stay close to his friends.

Prayer God, thank you for sending your Spirit so I can stay close to Jesus, too.

Something to Draw Draw a picture of God's Spirit whispering in your ear.

Mission for the Week Before you sit down to read a Bible story, ask God to send his Spirit to help you. When you listen carefully to God's word, the Spirit can send you a special message from Jesus!
