Share Newsletter Gives You Some Information on the Share Collection and the Way It Is Utilised
SHARE - NEWSLETTER - November 25th 2018 Dear Friends I am very much aware of the many financial calls that have been made within the Catholic Church in recent times and I am genuinely grateful for the generous response that has come especially from Mass-going Catholics. Share, our diocesan development fund, is still an important funding lifeline for the many services that support the pastoral outreach of the diocese as well as support for poorer parishes. The coming years will be crucial for us in our efforts to sustain a lively Church and its varied witness to the message of Jesus Christ. Together with the Diocesan Finance Committee, it is my intention to ensure that limited funds are used in an optimal way and that our services are marked by a style of sobriety befitting the Church. The Share newsletter gives you some information on the Share Collection and the way it is utilised. I am sure that you will see how worthwhile and necessary the service is in supporting the Church right across the Archdiocese. With renewed thanks and prayers, THE SECOND COLLECTION, SHARE, IS A CONCRETE EXPRESSION OF COMMUNION BETWEEN THE PEOPLE AND THE PARISHES OF THE DUBLIN DIOCESE. YOUR ONGOING SUPPORT FOR SHARE IS VITAL TO THE LIFE OF THE CHURCH. • Your support helps provide immediate financial support for lower income parishes in difficulty. Church renovations and repairs, development of Parish Centres and assistance with maintenance costs are a priority for the SHARE Building Fund. • Your support for SHARE helps promote the Catholic Faith throughout the 199 parishes of the Archdiocese, giving a particular priority to the spiritual care and evangelisation of young people through the work of the Office for Evangelisation and Ecumenism. -
