Scouting St. Thomas After winning the regular season and conference tournament titles last season, the Tommies are poised to contend for first again this season. They are currently ranked 17th in the nation and MIAC have won eight consecutive games. Despite losing All-American point guard Mark Buri to gradua- tion, the Tommies have a veteran squad that has five seniors, all of whom get substantial playing Standings time. St. Thomas has very balanced scoring as forward Kevin Fitzgerald and guard Sean Sweeney MIAC Overall are tied for the team lead in points scored per game at 10.8. Guard Brendan Finn and center Mark Bethel 7-1 9-4 Paulson are not far behind at 10.3 and 10.2 points per game. Fitzgerald and Paulson lead the team Carleton 6-1 9-3 in rebounding with Fitzgerald pulling down 7.9 boards a game and Paulson pulling down 6.9 a St. Thomas 6-1 10-2 game.
