Interfinish Will Be Back to Japan This September!! Nagahiro Saito, Professor of Nagoya Univ Interfinish 2020 Report (March 2020) Interfinish will be back to Japan this September!! Nagahiro Saito, Professor of Nagoya Univ. President of IUSF Hello, everyone. I am Hiro Saito from Japan. Let me introduce some latest information about Interfinish 2020. You can check the web for the great international show here to get the latest information about it at any time. http://spp.material.nagoya- u.ac.jp/wp/interfinish2020/?fbclid=IwAR2B8SDeM6u20AqRdHxEFl__Z0OeLkxblRWE3R7 k2IqbI3q4sc3mL13vnxE Interfinish, the great international conference, began in 1930s and continued to be held every four years so far. It has been around the world and once, it was held in Kyoto, Japan, in 1980. Then, It began to go around the world again. And this September, it will be finally back to Japan. This time, the conference will be held in Nagoya. Nagoya is located almost at the centre of Japan islands. This is the fourth largest city in Japan with 2.3 million residents and has a long history as shown here: https://www.britannica.com/place/Nagoya This city is also the center for Chukyo metropolitan area and automobile industries have been prosperous. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chūkyō_metropolitan_area. Therefore, you can enjoy the beautiful harmony and fusion of historical culture and modern industries. The following web page may be a useful guide for your visit. https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2155.html But not only Nagoya, but you can have access also to many other Japanese beautiful sightseeing places by relatively short travel time because Nagoya is located at the center of our islands, Tokyo, Takayama, Ise-Shima, Kyoto, Osaka, and many other places, as shown in the following figure. You can select your hotel from the following list. Those are just some portions of the list, but hopefully, they will be good references for you. Please check them once. And it would be very easy for you to find your hotel with reasonable prices, using Expedia, booking.com and trip adviser. I believe you will get a chance to find your hotels near Nagoya University, the conference site. From Nagoya Station area, it takes about 40 minutes to reach the university.
